"Would you please stop pulling me so hard?" I pleaded.

Lord Pine ignored me and started pulling me by my arm through the hall even harder. I started losing the feeling in my hand.

"Please, it hurts." I pleaded again, and then he shoved me against the wall, gripping my arms, causing me to groan from my wounds on my back.

'Why can't you just listen to what I say?" He growled, his piercing blue eyes staring into my soul.

I snorted.

"When a girl is hungry, a girl is hungry, so she'll want food." I hissed, his grip on my arms tightening, and I gasped from the pain.

Lord Pine stared into my eyes for a little while longer, until his head dipped down to the hollow of my neck, and I shivered from his breath touching my skin. He stayed in that position for a while, then he rose back up, releasing my arms from his containment. Then, he continued walking, like nothing ever happened, confusing me.

Why did he do that? It makes no sense what so ever. As we turned more corners, he glanced back at me, his head barely turning, before he faced forward once more.

After the long walk back to my room, Lord Pine opened my door, allowing me to walk quickly inside. I had thought that he was going to leave me, but I was wrong. I heard the click of the door shut, his footsteps coming closer to me.

"I have decided to set up a few boundaries for you to learn and follow." He stated.

I turned around to face him, watching him pull out a sheet of paper from inside his cloak. As he took the paper out, I noticed he had some raised up scars trailing from his hand in to his forearm, like someone had taken a cat's claws and pulled them deeply through his flesh.

What happened to him?

Lord Pine noticed that I was looking at his hand and pulled the arm of his cloak down, covering up the gruesome scars, and cleared his throat.

"The first rule: You are not allowed to go in any specific places unless I have granted you permission to do so. The second rule: Do not go outside. There is feral wolves surrounding my castle and I really don't want someone's death on my hands. The third and final rule: You are extremely forbidden to go on the top floor. Where you had ventured off to earlier today is where you will never be able to go even if you have my permission. So, any questions?" He sneered.

I shook my head side to side violently.

"Good. You will meet me in the dining hall tonight at 7:00 sharp. Cecilia will escort you. Do not be late." He growled, and left my room.

Sighing, I fell backward onto my bed, sighing.

Why is he so mean? I never did anything to him to hurt him.

I looked around my room, deciding to go look through the cabinets, dressers, and closets I have in here. Since the closest dresser was by my bed, I searched through it first. Inside, I found a small book titled Beauty and the Beast sitting inside the first drawer, along with a couple of books unknown to me, Jane Eyre by Emily Brönte and Beastly by Alex Flinn. I grabbed the book Beastly from its resting place and set it on top of my nightstand on the opposite side of my bed. As I opened the second drawer in the dresser, I came face-to-face with an empty drawer. Shucks.

I opened more dresser drawers from different dressers, and in every one, the only thing there was a thin lining of dust. Sighing in despair, I moved toward the closet, and pulled the doors open, creaking from the lack of use.

I gasped.

Hundreds of clothes, shoes, and accessories were on display in a huge walk-in closet. I felt the pieces of clothing that sat on shelves, the velvet, cotton, lace and other fabrics move through my fingers. I soon found a navy blue nightgown that reached down to my ankles, along with a pair of navy blue slippers to match.

Sliding on the nightgown and slippers, I closed the closet doors, and opened the sheets to the bed, sliding the slippers off, and sliding my cold, aching feet into the soft cotton bed sheets. As I rested my head down on the covers, I noticed that there were sheets that were being held up on each side. Finding a rope by one of the pedestals, I pulled it downward, releasing the sheets, and dropping them around the sides of the bed, enclosing me from the rest of the world.

Slowly, as I closed my eyes, the day's events crept into my mind.
