A Twist of Fate (Harry Styles/Niall Horan love triangle)

(chp 3) Meeting the boys

As Niall slowly unlocked the door I could hear the sound of laughter, but above all else the sound of Louis screaming. Normally one would be alarmed at someone screaming, but if you knew One Direction like me and Riles do it is a known fact that Louis loves screaming on a regular basis. As we walked inside the first thing you saw was a gorgeous staircase that lead up to, what I would assume were the bedrooms.

Abruptly I could hear Louis yelling at the boys. "Niall's home with the girls!! Stop your shenanigans and act gentlemanly!!!"

We walked past the doorframe and took a sharp right into the parlor which consisted of a huge flat screen tv, at least 5 game stations, surround sound, and in the corner near the plate glass window was a huge pool table. Liam and Zayn were sitting on the couch watching tv, while Louis was sitting in a loveseat near the wall with fake reading glasses and his legs fancily crossed holding up a newspaper. Riley and I looked at each other in confusion and giggled.

"Hey guys! Meet Riley and Cassidy" He said pointing to each one of us. He then turned to us and said "I assume that you already know the boys."

All of the boys turned and looked in our direction. "Of course" I said as I smiled and waved.

Louis put down the newspaper and lightly took a sip of his tea with his pinky up. "Good evening ladies. I hope that your flight was satisfactory."

I looked at Niall who looked even more confused than I was. "Yeah it was fine thanks."

"Could I interest either of you ladies in a spot of tea, or maybe a carrot?"

"Why are you talking that way Lou?" Niall laughed as he walked toward Louis; me and Riley following behind.

"Because you told me that if I wasn't on my best behavior that you were going to take away my xbox and I need my 3 hours of xbox fun!" Louis stated as he took another sip of his tea.

"You don't have to act that way around us Louis. We love you and your exuberant personality; don't worry I won't let Niall take away your xbox ." I said as I walked over to him.

He got up from the loveseat, walked over to me and put his arm around my shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. "I knew I was gunna like you!" He looked over toward Liam and Zayn and yelled "Move over its xbox time!!" while taking off his fake glasses and jumping over the couch to get to his precious game console.

I turned and looked at Riley who has been unusually quiet since we entered the house. She was staring at Liam, mouth slightly open, and eyes wide. I elbowed her lightly and whispered in her ear "Your drooling".

Not taking her eyes off of Liam she whispered "Am not!"

I grabbed her arm and pulled her toward the couch. I sat on the couch and pulled Riley down with me and slightly shoved her toward Liam. She stared at me wide eyed and I moved my head toward Liam urging her to start talking to him, but he beat her to the punch. "So have you heard any of our music?" he asked sweetly trying to start up a conversation.

"Oh yeah definitely! I love Everything About you!" She said starting to lose her nerves of seeing her biggest celebrity crush. I smiled as they started to get into a conversation of music. My work here is done.

"So Cassidy right?" Zayn said.

I turned to look at his adorable brown eyes. "Yeah but you can just call me Cass."

He smiled. "Cool. So Cass, do you like to play pool?"

"I love it, but it's just the little issue of me sucking at it."

He laughed and stood up. "Wanna play? I can teach you some of my amazayn tricks?" He said as he wiggled his eyebrows.

I got up and walked with him over to the pool table. "Sure, but the tricks better be really amazayn, because last time I played pool it flew off the table and hit someone in the eye." I shuttered as I remembered that horrible; my neighbor Greg had a black eye for over a week.

"Thanks for the warning. I would put on a helmet but I don't want to mess up this awesome hair." He said as he started patting it, trying to place some imaginary loose strand of hair back in place.

"No we wouldn't want that." I teased as I started to rack up the balls.

Just then I heard the front door to the mansion open and soft footsteps head toward the parlor. "Hey everyone." A male voice said from the entranceway. I turned around and saw the cutest guy I'd ever seen. He has adorable brown curls of hair hanging near his gorgeous green eyes that reminded me of freshly cut grass. He wore a very skin tight v necked white shirt that showed off enough muscle to let me know that he was definitely well built.

"Cassidy, Riley, this is Harry." Niall said as he started stuffing his face with chips.

Riley walked up to me and whispered "your drooling" teasingly in my ear, trying to get me back for when I made fun of her when she stared at Liam. I quickly closed my mouth, said a fast "hi" to Harry and turned around to start my game with Zayn. Well this is going to be an even more interesting summer than I thought.
