I walked around the house awkwardly trying to find him. Surprisingly there was no one in sight, not even in the kitchen. I walked out the front door and found Harry sitting on one of the steps, his elbows on his knees staring off in deep thought. I walked slowly over to him and sat beside him. “Hey.” I said, in an unsure tone.

Harry continued to stare out at the lawn, his features unchanging. “Hey.”

I looked around the front lawn and noticed that I still didn’t see anyone else. “Where is everyone?”

“Backyard.” He said simply.

I turned to study his face. It looked hard, not showing any emotion, not even in his eyes. “You know, we don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”

He finally turned to look at me, his face returning to its normal softness. “Of course I want to go out with you…it’s just.” He sighed and ran his hand through his curls. “I just don’t deserve to.” He paused for a few moments before continuing. “I hate myself knowing that I’m the reason that you’re in this situation to begin with…that I’m the one causing you and Niall all of this pain.” I was about to protest when Harry stopped me. “And you know that I’m right. If I wouldn’t have kept pursuing you then you would still be happy with Niall and lived happily ever after.”

I started to play with imaginary lint on my dress. “Harry this isn’t your fault trust me; I’m taking full blame here.” I stood up from the steps and started to walk around, full of nerves. “It wasn’t even after I started dating Niall. I thought that you were absolutely adorable as soon as you walked into the room the first day I got here.”

“Really?” He asked, a smile forming on his face.

“Yes.” I admitted. “And I know that this is probably going to be a little awkward, but its fair for everyone if we saw what this is.” I said, gesturing between me and him.

“And what do you think this is?” He asked.

“I don’t know.”  I said. “But that’s what the date is going to help us figure out right?”

Harry stood up and brushed off his pants. “Well then let’s get this show on the road.” He replied smiling at me, placing his hand on the small of my waist and leading me to his car. “So any place special you want to go?”

“Isn’t the guy the one who’s supposed to pick the place?” I asked, because honestly I hadn’t even thought about where the date would take place.

Harry chuckled. “I guess so, just let me think….” He said as we continued to walk to the car. He opened  the door for me and then walked around to take his place in the driver’s seat. He smiled as he turned to look at me. “I’ve got a place, but buckle up love it’s a little of a long drive.” He started up his car and headed off down the road.

“So where are we going?” I asked curiously.

Harry smirked and raised his eyebrow, trying to look suspicious. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

Cassidy mimicked his smirk and rested her head against the seat. “You look like Count Chocula when you do that, you know that right?” She teased, giggling.

“Who?” He asked, looking at me like I had three heads.

“You know….the vampire that’s on that delicious chocolaty breakfast cereal.” I explained, but he still looked confused. “You’ve never heard of Count Chocula cereal?!?!?” I asked, shocked. Harry shook his head, amused at my reaction. “You haven’t lived, my friend.” I teased, sighing dramatically.
