I didn't go to school the next morning.

I didn't see Becca or Blake or any of my new friends. I din't see Scarlett and I didn't see Jordan.

The North Carolina Insitute for Adolescences is where I was this morning. Mom and dad where talking with some doctors so I was just sitting there awkwardly on a chair in the lobby. It wasn't the most appealing hospital in the world, but whatever. It didn't look like a hospital at all to be honset. Kind of like one of those retirement manors.

A few pages of paperwork later, a nurse lead us to my new room. Mom gentley forward, urging me to go first. We slowly made our way through the hospital. The wing I was to be living on was on the third floor. Room 319.

I frowned at the large door. It was large and completely metal. It reminded me of a big scary door you would see in an asylum in horror movies. There was only a little glass cubby to see into the room. Though when she unlocked the door and opened it, i breathed a sigh of relief. The room wasn't too bad. It was a little white room with a single bed and a bedside table on one wall. On the other stood a wooden dresser where I can put clothes and belongings. There was also a matching dresser right infront of the window, which I must say has a great view.

"I'll let you settle in." said the nurse. "And when you're ready, come back down to the main desk and meet me there. I will give you a little tour before you meet your Psychologist." Before walking out and shutting the door.

Psychologist? Am I really that sick? Is this really happening? I turn towards mom and dad. A few of my bags in their hands. We all unpack in silence. I'm not sure they fully understand what happened last night. I did explain my dreams, finally. But

not what happened with Blake. Mom finally lost it and said I needed professional help. And now here I am.

I finally finished putting up my last poster beside my bed. It's as if I'm standing in my own room (LOL no). We all walked back down to the front desk. We met the same nurse who brought us to my room. There was a cafeteria, a fitness room, a gym and a lounge on the first floor. The nurse said it was "To premote social activity amoung the other residents". Oh and for some reason, they refer the kids as 'residents' instead of patients. I don't know really know why though.

We continued along to the doctors, psychiatrist and psychologist's offices. Up floors and through diffrent wings. Leading all the way back to my room. "Okay here is your schedule." The nurse said handing me a piece of paper. "Breakfest is at 8:15 am on weekdays and 9:00 am on weekends then there is free time until 12:00 pm which is lunch and then a meeting. with you Psychiatrist, who you will who you will meet later this afternoon. After that you can pick up your medicine from the Pharmacy. Then we have more free time and then dinner at 5:40 pm then we have a Reflection period in your room and lights out at 9:00 pm." she smiled. "And sometimes we have special outings and occasions such as lunches in the park or going to see a movie. And in the summer we go camping for 2 weeks" Sounds fun (note the sarcasm). "So yeah, that's pretty much it. Alright, be at the offices by 12:20 to meet Dr.Rayner. And I'm Nancy." she finished and parted us again.

"Well I guess this is where we live." says my mother from behind. I look up at her. I can see she's fighting back her tears. "Dr.Rayner is a great doctor. You'll be alright

here. And it won't be for long. We need you to get better, Jade." she sniffs. "He's going to help you." she said. I gave her a hug and reassured her that I'm going to be fine. But as I said that, I was reassuring myself. I hugged dad and watched them leave through the big oak doors.

**************

It was 11:50 so I made my way to the cafeteria. It wasn't very busy. Apparently, this hospital only holds 126 patients and all of them are troubled teens. I didn't feel as though I stuck out, but considering the fact there was only 126 kids, it won't be very hard to notice a new girl.

I walked over to the lunch counter where a lady placed pork chops and steamed vegtableson my tray. For a cafateria, they have prettu good food. I was expecting the typical mysertery meat.

I looked around the cafeteria. Some people are very cliquey. and others sit by themselves, fiddling with stress balls or mummbling to themselves or drawing disturbing pictures. I decided to sit alone. I hardly even noticed a tray plop down infront of me.

"So. what are you in for, new girl?" I looked up I looked up to see a girl about my age. she had that Scene hair (I would know, there's a lot of Scene girls at my school). She had silky auburn hair and beUtiful green eyes. "I don't know yet. I'm meeting my psychiatrist after lunch." I say simply. The girl smiles. "Oh. well. Welcome to Hell." I breathed a laugh. "I'm Regan Hunter." she introduced herslef. "Pyromania and Bi- Polar." she said and stuck out her hand. I took it. "Jade Cole. Diagnosis is yet to be discovered." Regan smiles.

"But honestly is it that bad here?" I ask my voice full of worry. Regan laughed. "Not really. I have been here for about a year and a half. It's not too bad. But when you spend that much time with 126 kids, It can make you go crazy. So I'm glad to see a new face." She said. I laugh at the little joke she made. She reminded me of Kayla. They both have the same care-free and easy attitude.

Regan let me in on her group of friends and I ate with them. They are all halarious, my cheeks hurt by the end of lunch. But soon it was over and I had to go see my Psychiatrist. I left Regan and walked to the Doctors Offices.
