Chapter 6

---Aki---

They're probably close now. I thought as I sat on the striker in the middle of the ocean.

They dropped me off out here a few hours ago, telling me they were ‘sorry’ and that I needed to follow this log pose which would lead me to nearest island. 

But I haven't moved an inch since they left me. How can I? How can I run away while all my friends, all my family leave to fight a war just to save the one I fell in love with?

---3rd person---

Marco couldn't help but sigh as he stared out at the sea life in front of him.

They had the Moby Dick coated and they were very close now, he knew it was almost time.

Yet Marco couldn't help but worry. He promised Aki he'd bring Ace back for her, everyone did. Even Whitebeard, he said,

‘Aki, no matter what, your child will grow up with a father.’

But Marco wasn't so afraid of that, he was more worried about whether Aki would be dumb enough to follow them and join this fight. 

Yes that is what he feared most.

Aki couldn't take it. There was no way she was going to sit out on this battle. She didn't care that she was already 9 months pregnant. She knows she can have her baby anytime, but she doesn’t care. She knows that she has to be there, she knows she has to help save Ace. 

She held her stomach, staring down at it.

She let a smile form on her lips as she remembered...

---flashback---

Aki was furious. She couldn't believe what Ace had done.

"I can't believe that! You’re such an asshole!" she yelled right at his face, tears in her eyes but she held them back.

"Aki! I swear to god its no-"

"Yeah yeah sure!" she snapped interrupting him. "It wasn't fucken what it looked like right!? You know what? FUCK YOU. You fucken men are all the god dammed same! Can't resist any chick that’s drunk and topless right? Always taking advantage of them, right!? Well you can fucken forget us!! WE'RE OVER!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, she stormed off, trying to stop her tears falling.

Ace stood there in shock, trying to process what she had just said. But only once he heard the slam of her door did he understand.

"Aki! No Aki!" he yelled as he ran after her, grabbing the door handle, twisting it, trying to open it. "Aki please! Just let me explain! Aki!"

But Aki couldn't hear him, she was too busy playing the scene over and over in her head. 

The scene of her walking into the room and seeing a topless girl, lying on top of her topless boyfriend.

"AKI! Please! I promise that wasn't anything! Come on Aki! I love you!"

But Ace's plea's and cries were just empty words to Aki. 

After everything, the things she's told him, the stuff he said to her, they were nothing but lies. She knew she could never find someone who she could truly trust.
