(A/N: Yes a new chapter is finally out! Sorry I didn't post a chapter while I was gone like I promised. Really I do feel awful. But this chapter is a bit of a longer one so hopefully you'll forgive me, Expers and Stars. And random side note because I'm hyper: I was eating prizza when I wrote this. Now I gotta go keep writing content for you guys. Enjoy, and I'll see you at the end of the chapter. ~Skylar)

Chapter 3
*Barit’s POV*
Despite how insanely comfortable this bed was, I couldn’t sleep. I don’t know, I guess being so near Jason made me nervous. He was really sweet tonight though. I mean he didn,t wake me up until he though I wouldn't be comfortable just on the couch.
Letting out a soft groan, I climbed out of bed, my plain gray shorts and creeper tee wrinkled. I opened my door as softly as I could as to not wake my new housemate up. After making my way safely down the pitch black staircase, I found my way to the closest window and climbed onto the sill. I just sat there in the quiet and hugged my knees to my chest. The only sounds I could hear were soft whirs from the refrigerator and Jason's distant breathing.
Before I'd gone to bed, I'd checked my phone for any word back home. The only things I'd received were 3 messages from my mom, the last one more desperate than the next. The last one had ended: "I'm sorry we fought, Sweety. Just come home and we can work it all out." The only thing was I couldn't trust her any more. Or call that hell hole my home.
Before I knew it, I'd dozed off sitting on the window sill in the moonlight.
* • *
I was gently shaken awake by a warm hand. I wasn't used to this. Usually my mom burst in my room and complained I was going to be late for school or whatever she had planned out for me. So, given that little tidbit, my eyes instantly shot open and I grabbed the wrist of the person who woke me up.
"Ow! Easy there, Barit. You okay? You were just sleeping here when I came down this morning. The look on your face told me not to wake you up too early." Jason was fully dressed already and had a look in his eyes that said he'd been worried.
"Um... Yeah. Yeah I'm fine. Er... Thanks. I'm just a little shaken up is all. Don't worry about me," I said as I rubbed sleep out of my eyes.
His rich, soft laugh warmed me almost immediately. "I thought you might want to get settled in today so, since it's my house, I figured it would be nice if I helped you." His tone was light as he shrugged but I read his face differently. It said he really wanted to do something nice for me.
I couldn't do anything but shrug. "Sure. I mean if you want to. If you gotta record some stuff I understand."
"No no no. Don't worry about it. I'm happy to help," he said a bit too quickly which made me laugh.
I gave an exaggerated swing of my arm. "Let us go then!" I quickly dashed up the stairs with Jason close on my heels. As I reached my room, something hit me. "Hey Jason? Where's Teddy?" As if on cue, there was a quiet mew from under the bed. "Teddy!" I squealed, picking him up and turning him over like a baby.
"Well he seems to like you," Jason muttered, a slightly hurt look on his face.
"Awwww. Is someone jealous of the kitty-cat?" I teasingly cooed, ruffling his hair after putting Teddy down.
I heard him mumble something like, "No, I'm not..." before he sat on the ground in front of me.
"Let's get this party started!" I half sung, half yelled as I grabbed a box and plopped down next to him.
*Jason's POV*
Just like I expected, this morning was pretty awkward. Especially since I found her sleeping on the window sill when I went downstairs earlier. I didn't want to bother her but I also felt that I shouldn't just let her sit there.
And so now, I'm ankle deep in various wires. "Why do you like Macs anyways? You can play basically no games." It's true. I don't see anything great in Macs.
“Don’t you dare diss Macs! I can do all the graphic designing I want on them,” she exclaimed as she pointed an accusing finger at me. Turning away from me, she took out a tablet.
“Graphic design?” She didn’t even seem like a graphic designer but looking at her now, her tee didn’t seem familiar at all. In fact... I noticed it was an IRL version of me killing a creeper. “Nice shirt,” I muttered, trying (and failing) to hold back a laugh.
I saw deep crimson blush came onto her cheeks just as she turned away. “Hey don’t judge. I didn’t think I was actually going to meet you...” she muttered before flopping on her bed.
My laugh died down as I smiled at her. “Well one, I don’t judge. Two, it’s actually a really good graphic. Might put it up in the store if you’d let me.”
Her eyes widened it what seemed to be horror. “No! Don’t. I mean, I couldn’t. My graphics are nowhere near as good as the ones in your collection now.” She suddenly looked shy and vulnerable with her arms curled around her knees.
I walked over and put an arm around her gently. “Lies. It’s really good. Fin couldn’t do better than that in my opinion (A/N: I love finsgraphics. I have nothing against him in fact I’m super jealous of his skills). You should really take requests. I’m sure Ty and Adam would be more than willing to sell some of your designs.” To my relief, this seemed to cheer her up a bit.
“Thanks, Jason. It’s just I wasn’t really supported by my mother and her b****** of a boyfriend. But it definitely helps if you support me!” Her grin was bright as she looked up at me with a spark of hope in her eyes.
“Of course. You’ve gotta talent there.” The moment the last word left my mouth, I received a hard, playful shove from Barit.
"A skill? Thanks, Jason! That really means a lot.” I could tell she was trying to sound bitter but her smile completely ruined it.
“I do my best! Now come on. Let me help you set up this bad boy.”
* • *
It took a solid hour to set up her Mac and by that time, she was complaining about being hungry.
“Jasoooon. Jasooooon. Jaaaase. TrueMU!” she groaned, flopping around on her bed.
“What, Bar?” I asked, my patience starting to thin. “And what’s with the name, Jase?” I turned to her, a few wires still in my hand.
She simply shrugged. “It’s a shortened version of your name. AND I’M BORED AND HUNGRY!” she said, her voice escalating towards the end.
“Then go get something to eat,” I muttered with a slight laugh. “And you can try and find Teddy again. I don’t think he’s in here anymore.”
As soon as I said the gray tabby’s name, she was out the door, leaving me with peace and quiet. And that left me to only think about one thing. How I’m getting so distracted from everything else by this one, particular girl?

(A/N: Alright, Expers & Stars! Skylar here and I'm so excited to tell you that Mirrored Stars has over 180 reads. That's insane for how inconsistantly I've been updating. Anyways guys, again, sorry I couldn't update while I was gone. I was with a friend and I never got a chance to update even though I really wanted to. I hope you enjoyed the long chapter. Don't forget to vote, comment and share. If you haven't already become an Exper, join today! I'll hopefully be putting up a oneshot book later this week or in the upcoming weeks. ALSO, I know a lot of people don't like leaving comments, don't have an account and just leave this book book marked, or stuff like that, but if you can, please answer this question in the comments. Every five chapters, should I only do one POV? For instance, for Chapter 5, it would only be Barit's, Chapter 10 will only be Jason's, and every chapter in between would be both? I love hearing your feed back guys so, until next time, see ya, Expers. ~Skylar)
