**on pause** Distance Shouldn't Matter

New Friends~

~Sorry for the sorta late update, I never went to school yesterday, & I prefer typing on the laptops instead of a phone...~

As I tossed & turned throughout the night, I got frustrated that he wouldn't get off of my mind. Yeah, he was cute, but he can possibly be a douche canoe.  Point is, I should do something to get him off of my mind. Plus, I barely even met him. 

After a few hours of watching youtube, I finally fell asleep. The last time I checked the time it was 4:32 AM. Great time to fall asleep while I have to wake up at 5:45 AM this morning, eh?

When my alarm woke me up, I was barely able to pry open my eyelids. I groaned loudly & threw my pugs blanket off. 

While lazily getting ready, I threw on some ripped light blue jeans with a "r u ok" in black print on a  tie dye shirt. 

After I got ready, I made some breakfast. Omelets of course! -3-

While I arrived at school, I took a deep breath, trying not to repeat what happened yesterday. I wouldn't be able to handle that again. 

It was a few minutes until Colton found me, & he immediately drug me past a bunch of people, to a little group. I gave him a death stare while he just nervously giggled.

"Guys, this is Winter. She's new to the school & I thought she can use some friends."

I smiled & waved nervously, looking at all the new faces as they all politely greeted me back. 

After the first bell rung, I was on my way to Art 1. Can't complain about that, it's probably the best class I have in my schedule. 

While waiting for Colton in the cafeteria at lunch, he was taking forever. Plus i'm an impatient person whenever it comes to food. He's lucky I just met him.

Five minutes later, he walks in. I smirk at him, trying to let him know that he took too long & I was about to blow up without my hamburger & cheese curds. 

After eating, we just walked around outside, waiting for the bell to ring.

"Hey, uh, Winter...?"

"Yeah...?"

"Wanna hang out tonight? Like not on a date or anything! But...just like...to learn more about each otherish? We can meet at the mall around 5?"

I slightly smiled at how nervous he sounded.

"I'll have to ask my dad first, & he'd probably be alright with it, so sure...? Why do you sound so nervous?"

"I uh..didn't mean to, I'm sorry. But I was afraid to get turned down & look like an idiot even though i'm just asking to chill."

"WOAHWOAHWOAH BUDDY. I DO NOT "CHILL." THAT'S HOW YOU END UP WITH "CHILL"DREN."  I said making him laugh. 

"No worries, i'm not that type of guy." He said  smiling. 

I smiled then noticed that I was staring into his eyes, so I looked down.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing really, I just noticed I was staring at you & I didn't want to make it seem creepy..." I said nervously.

He smirked & hugged me. HUGGED. HE HUGGED ME. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I smiled lightly & hugged back. 

"What made you so self conscious...? I don't get why you are. You're so pretty it's like you have nothing to worry about."  Then flashed a smile.

I sighed, forgetting to tell him that compliments make me uncomfortable. Then the bell rung.

He hugged me one last time, while I hugged back slightly tighter.

I can't wait until later. 

Hopefully my dad says yes.

He needs to.
