The Turtle and the Dragon

Raph

I reached up and pulled the girl's hood off...to reveal...blonde hair, a mask, and a small smile. I stood staring at her, pinning her to the wall. "T-Terra?" She slipped from my grip. "Yeah....I never told you that.." "That you were the enemy?!" I shouted, getting upset. 

She rubbed her tattooed bicep. "Raph...I-I never told you because...I thought you would not like me anymore...I thought you wouldn't want to see me again.." I felt tears trying to escape. "I TRUSTED YOU!!" She flinched. "Raph, I know. And I deserve to be yelled at, but....I-I'm sorry."

She looked away. Tears slid out from under her mask. "I can't believe you...." I said. "You lied to me..Said I was your friend....but it's all been a lie." Terra looked frantic. "No way! I wasn't lieing. You are my friend!" she reached out her hand to touch my shoulder.

I shoved her hand away roughly.  "Don't touch me! Your a purple Dragon..." She looked at me. "But Raph.." I growled. "No, don't talk to me." "Raph-" "You don't understand me!!" She flinched. "The only person who understands me is Skye!" Terra clenched her fists. "And I know for sure she's not stupid enough to be a dragon!"

Suddenly she reached up and pulled off her mask. I stumbled back. Staring me in the eye, looking miserable, and hurt...was Skye. Her green eyes that usually held humour, and joy, now held sadness, and pain.

"S-Skye-" "Is that really what you think, Raph?" I opened my mouth then closed it. What could I say? What was there to say? I couldn't even look her in the eyes. I stared at the ground, hot tears falling. I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder. 

He warm breath teased my neck. "Raph, I'm sorry. I hope one day you will be able to forgive me." Her hand left me, and I looked up. She was gone. My brothers ran up. "Raph!" Leo shouted. "What were you thinking?!" 

I dropped to my knees and cried. Right there in front of my three brothers. Mikey dropped down next to me, and hugged me. I sobbed and sobbed. I had no idea what to do. 

Weeks past and I had not gone out on patrol. How can I when I have a possibility of seeing her. I missed her though. Her laugh. Her hugs. Her smile... I miss her. And to think I never told her how I feel about her, it just makes me feel worse.

I went out and sat on a roof looking at TCRI. A sad sigh made me look up. I turned to see Skye. a light green tank top exposed her purple dragon tattoo. I looked up at her. She looked at me and bit her lip. I stood. "I'm sorry..." She said her voice cracked. She had been crying. 

I looked at her tattoo. It went from the start of her bicep, and curled around her arm up to her shoulder. She knew I was looking at it, and rubbed her arm. "I needed the money....we needed it.." I looked into her eyes. "This was your job...."

She nodded, and new tears began to form. it began to rain lightly. I walked up to Skye and wiped away her tears. Looking up, she smiled a mall smile. I looked into her perfectly beautiful green eyes. She looked down, and bit her lip. Rain and tears washed down, soaking her shirt, and sticking her hair to her face. 

I put my hand on her shoulder. "Raph....I don't....I don't want this to drive apart." She turned away. "I-I'll stay away, I promise. But I don't want to lose your friendship." She started to walk away. 'No don't let her walk out on you! 

 My brain screamed at me. 'Tell her how you feel. Don't miss this chance!' I didn't think twice. I ran after Skye. I grabbed her shoulder and spun her around to face me. She looked at me, surprised. I grabbed her shoulder, and pressed my lips to hers. Skye hesitated then I flt her kiss back. 

We stayed, there rain soaking us both. But I didn't care. I was finally telling the girl of my dreams how I felt. I smiled into the kiss, and pulled away slowly. "I-I like you Skye...a lot." She smiled. "I love you Raph...I always have." I ran a hand through her hair. "Really?" she nodded. 

Skye

When Raph kissed me, I thought I was dreaming. but the cold rain told me otherwise. Butterflies filled my stomach, and when he pulled away,  I grinned like an idiot. I put my head on his chest. "I love you too, Skye.." He said softly. "I love you too.." I glanced at my watch. "I'd better get going...." He nodded. "Yeah...me too."

 I smiled and kissed his cheek. "See you later, Raphie." He smiled, and hugged me one last time. "See ya, Princess." I watched him leave then I made my way home feeling light as a feather. What I didn't see though, was the figure watching from the shadows.
