Forever and beyond

Skye

I woke up and groaned. Bright light blinded me, and I lifted my arm over my face. "S-Skye?" I turned to see Raph in his human form looking down at me, worried and relieved. His voice cracked as if he had been crying. 

I cracked a small grin. "Hey... Have you been crying?" He chuckled a little. "Maybe.." I touched his cheek. "Awww, I don't remember you crying since you...." I traced my finger along his lightning bolt scar. I smiled at the memory. 

He nodded. "Since we were kids." I sighed. "That was years ago.." He chuckled and kissed my head. "And I am not leaving you. Not again." I smiled. "Skylar! My baby!!" Mom ran in and crushed me in a hug. I gasped for air. "M-Mom....can't b-breath..." She pulled back. "Sorry. Are you ok?" She checked me over, seeing if I was ok. 

"Mom. I was shot. I'll be ok, if I don't get crushed." I grinned teasingly. Raph chuckled. Mom turned to him. "Thank you for helping her." Raph smiled. "No problem Mrs. Hitchez. I'm glad to help Skye." He squeezed my hand. I smiled and tried to sit up.

Raph gently eased me down. "Not so fast tiger. Your still a bit weak." I sighed. "Where is dad?" Mom sighed and sat on the other side of the bed. "he went to work, honey..." I groaned. "He couldn't have stayed with me?!" 

Raph touched my shoulder lightly. "Skye he couldn't have....I offered to stay. He didn't want to leave, but he had to." I bit my lip, and looked away. I felt him kiss my cheek. "I have to go home now princess, but I'll be back." I put my arms around his neck and looked into his eyes. "Promise?" He chuckled and pecked my lips. 

"I swear." "No swearing!" Mom said. I rolled my eyes. "Mom!" She chuckled. Raph gave me one last kiss before standing and leaving. I sighed and leaned back. "So." Mom looked at me with a smirk. "How long have you two been a couple?" I blushed and laughed. "Mom!" 

She chuckled. "I'm serious." I sighed. "Not long. We met when we were about 6 and we've been best friends ever since....It was just yesterday he asked me to be his girlfriend.." 

Mom smiled. "But he kissed you before that right?" I sighed dreamily. "Yeah....-Hey!" She chuckled. "I'm glad he makes you happy Skye. He seems to care a lot about you." I smiled. "Yeah he does... And I care a lot about him too."

She glanced at her watch. "I have 10 more minutes left. Get some rest sweet heart." She kissed my head and stood up. "And remember. If he tries anything, that's it." I blushed. "MOM!" She laughed. "I'm kidding Skye."

After she left I sighed and lay down. I thought of Raph and all the good times we had together. I though thought of when that gun had went off. I hadn't thought. I had just ran. I had jumped in front of him... Saving his life. 

A tear ran down my face as I thought of what would have happened if I hadn't jumped up. Raph would be gone. I would be alone. I sighed and dismissed the thought. I lay there and finally sleep found me. I slept for hours. 

I woke up and sighed. My ribs ached. I groaned and played with my knife I had in my pocket. Flipping it open and closed, open and closed. I got bored and heaved a giant sigh. "Bored huh?" I grinned and turned. "Dad!!" I hugged him as tight as I could for a girl with busted ribs. 

He chuckled, and smiled. "Are you ok, Skye?" I nodded. "I'm fine. It wasn't your fault.." He sat down. "It was honey....I shot at.....at..." "Raph." I said. He nodded. "Right. I shot at him. If I hadn't you wouldn't have gotten hurt."

I touched his arm. "Dad, you were protecting me. I understand." He nodded through tears. I smiled. "Its ok, dad." He smiled a little. "I'm sorry baby girl." I nodded. After I healed up and went home, April attacked me. "YOU GOT STABBED, TORTURED AND STABBED?! AND YOU DIDN'T CALL ME??!!" I sighed and covered my ears. 

"Your gonna make me deaf, April." She stopped. "But really, you should have called me." I folded my arms. "My phone is broken. And Raph came to help." She eyed me. "Raph? The hot head..." I nodded with a grin. "Did I mention him and I are dating?" She almost fainted. 

I steadied her. "April get a hold of yourself." I shook her shulders. "Y-you are dating Raphael...." I nodded. "Yes.." She fainted. I growled and sat on my bed. "Hey, there gorgeous." I smiled at the voice of Raphael. "Hey, Raphie." He hugged me. "Yaknow your the only one I allow to call me that right?" I chuckled. "I know." He looked at April. "Did you kill her?" I laughed. "No. she had a fainting spell when I told her about you and I." 

He smirked. "And I should go tell Donnie that April is dead on your floor. That should get him out of the lab." I chuckled. "Yeah." I leaned on him and waited for April to wake up. When she did, she was confused. "W-Where..." Then she looked up. "Skye? You said Raph was...." Then she saw Raph. "Hey, April." 

She stood and looked at us. "So its true?" He smiled and kissed my head. "Yes." I grinned at her. She sighed. "Well, I should get home. Dad wants help with his work." I nodded. "See ya later April." She smiled and left. Raph sighed and rubbed my shoulder. "You really didn't have to do that...Save me I mean.." I looked him in the eyes. "I did. I love you Raph. I had to." 

He looked my in the eyes, and smiled. "I love you Princess." I smiled. "I love you too Raphie." He growled playfully. "Your going to pay for that nickname..." I smirked. "And what makes you think that?" He pinned my wrists to the bed. 

"Well your not getting anywhere..." I struggled. He chuckled. "Now for your punishment." I looked at him."No." He grinned and tickled me. "Yes." I laughed. "R-Raph...s-s-stopp....p-please...my stitches." I whimpered and he let go. 

"S-Skye, are you ok? I'm so sorry!" I chuckled a little then winced. "I-Its ok..." I pulled him into a long and sweet kiss. "Its not your fault.." I muttered. He pulled me closer and smiled through the kiss. "Young lady!" I jumped. Dad stood in the door way arms crossed. 

"H-Hey dad..." He glared at me. "What did we say about boys in your room?" I groaned. "Go get mom... She approves." He got mom. "Yes, dear- what is...." I chuckled. "Mom, this is Raph." Mom looked at me. "He is a turtle?" I nodded. "A ninja turtle." She laughed. 

Dad looked at her. "There is a MALE turtle in our daughter's room and your laughing?!" Mom smacked his arm. "Jeff, he helped her. I trust him and so does she." he looked at me. I chuckled. "OK, fine....As long as he stays out of her bed..." He muttered. 

Raph chuckled. "Will do sir." I pouted. Mom smiled. Dad glanced at Raph one last time before closing the door behind them. I stood, and leaned on the wall. "Not fair." He grinned and pinned me. "I don;t need to be on your bed to kiss you."

He kissed me softly and I melted right away. After what felt like hours, we pulled away. I smiled. "I love you Raph." He grinned. "I love you too, Skye." "Forever?" He grinned and kissed my head. "Forever and beyond."
