De'Ante had just gotten back with his daughter after spending the entire morning and afternoon with her. They went to the mall and to the park. He couldn't help but think about the argument from this morning. Then there was the phone call that she got which caused her to rush out the door. He already knew what was behind that urgent phone call.
A few months ago he met with Lucas Sheppard. He was into buying and selling properties. After talking with him he decided to sell Jade's shop. He got everything legally finalized and moved forward with the selling of her shop. De'Ante only sold her shop because he was in the process of getting a new one built for her. He ran his hand down his face in frustration because he knew that this shit was going to hit the fan.
Looking at Destinee playing with her alphabet blocks brought so much joy to him. He loved her with everything in him. De'Ante also loved Jade with every fiber of his being. He hadn't heard from Jade sense she left out this morning and he already knew that she was beyond pissed. De'Ante pulled his phone from his pocket and to call her.
Since he had her on speed dial he pressed one and listened as it rang. It rang a few times before she answered. "Hello." Her soothing voice filled the line.
"Where are you?"
"Out."
"Out where Jade. I haven't heard from you since you left this morning."
"Well you hearing from me now. What do you want? Is my baby okay?"
"She right here playing with her blocks. We miss you. When are you coming home?"
"I will be there after while."
"Okay I lo-"
Before he could finish his sentence she hung up on him. He pulled the phone from his ear and looked at the phone sideways. Not a second later De'Ante's phone rang and it was Mr. Sheppard.
"Hello."
"Mr. Rodgers I hate to bother you, but your wife chewed me up and spit me out. She was livid about this whole business deal. Your wife is quite feisty. I thought you said that selling her shop would be fine or at least she would be fine with it."
"She will be. Right now she doesn't understand why I did what I did."
"Well I wish you the best of luck and not to overstep my boundaries, but you have a beautiful wife and you are a very blessed man. Although the situation is a bit messy; its obvious that you love her very much. It's not like seeing young black love in this crazy world."
"Preciate it."
The call ended and De'Ante sat there deep in thought as he watched Destinee. She grabbed some of her blocks and ran over to him. She placed the blocks in his lap and looked up at him with a grin. He picked her up and kissed her chubby cheeks.
"You want daddy ta' play with you?"
She nodded and clapped her hands. Not making her wait another minute he began to play with his daughter. He had to admit that he was concerned about how Jade was going to take all this. From her tone on the phone he knew that shit was going to be crazy.

"Girl please tell me that you are not serious. I know De'Ante hasn't lost his mind." Marah said.
"Listen I was there when it all went down and I was in a state of shock." Blu added.
"I'm mad and hurt because he should have talked to me about this. This is my livelihood. I mean how the fuck do you just sell somebody's shit that they invested time and money in. Shit is real fucked up and he is fucked for doing it." Jade shook her head still in disbelief.
