"Dear Lord! Just keep my baby." Janetta paced back and forth in the waiting room as she wrung her hands, nervously.

De'Ante walked over to where she was pacing and wrapped his arms around her. Jay was distraught and was. He held a sleeping Destinee and as tears fell from his eyes. He couldn't believe that this shit was even real right now. This was God's way of waking him up. He was sure of it.

Janetta and De'Ante walked back over to where Jay was sitting. They sat down and he held Janetta's hand. He was in a zone and prayed that his wife came back to him. He couldn't take losing her like this. There was so much that had to do. Hell they had so much to live for. Sadly things were kind of rocky with them and he felt like shit right about now. He knew that Jay felt the same way about Blu.

"Rodgers family." Dr. Jamison came up with a chart in his hand.

Janetta sat there frozen as she looked at the man that she had always loved, but could never be with because he was with someone and so was she years ago. She had heard that he had lost his daughter in an accident. She was killed by a drunk driver. He was still the same handsome man that she had fell in love with all those years ago.

"Marcell." Janetta whispered as she finally stood.

"Janetta?" His eyes widened and filled with sadness as he looked at her.

"How is my wife? And how is Blu?" De'Ante interrupted their magically moment.

Dr. Jamison cleared his throat, flipping through his chart. "Let's step into a private area so I can discuss some things with you all."

They all followed him in silence. De'Ante kept looking at Janetta out the corner of his eye. He wondered what that was about back there. Right now he didn't have time to get into it, but it was obvious that they knew each other and had mad history. The way that they stared at one another was the way that he and Jade looked at each other.

Finally getting to a private area they all stood waiting to hear what Dr. Jamison had to say. "Jade is slowly hemorrhaging in her brain. It is causing a great amount of swelling. At this point it's not looking good. This means that I may have to operate within the next twenty-four hours."

"FUCK NO! You telling me that there is a chance that my wife might not make it?"

"There is a fifty-fifty chance. Right now she is in a coma we are monitoring her brain activity. We will do another MRI to see how her brain is looking before any final decisions are made."

"And Blu is holding her on. She can't feel anything right now which means there could be some paralysis. It could be long term or short term."

"Nah Doc you gotta fix her man. This can't happen to her. She can't live like that man. Fuck man! I should have told her I loved her." Jay yelled forgetting that he was holding a Destinee.

Janetta grabbed her and she stirred in her sleep, but didn't wake up. She was grateful for that. God had the final say so and he was a healer. She had to be strong no matter how much she wanted to crumble. Right now Deante needed her and so did Jay.

"Can we see them?" Janetta asked.

"Yes, but one at a time." He gave Janetta a lingering stare.

"Deante, Jay, I need you two to stand strong and trust in God. They need you to be strong right now because they are weak. Be their strength and let them know that you are there. God is going to work everything out. You just gotta give it to him and let him do his work." Janetta said with such conviction tears streamed down their handsome faces.

"I will be right back, Janetta.  I'm going to show them where Jade and Blu are located." He said as he gave her shoulder a firm squeeze on his way out.

Janetta nodded. As soon as the door closed behind them she cried silently and sent up a silent prayer. She needed God to help her to stand strong as the matriarch of the family. There was so much that she could bare. This is the hardest thing that she has ever had to go through. If she loses her daughter she don't know if she would be able to function.

The door opened and in walked Marcell walked in. He leaned against the door to get his bearing together. It had been almost ten years since he saw Janetta. She was still beautiful if not more so than before. She had been the love of his life, but he ended up with another. He wished that she had been around when he went through the pain of losing his daughter.

"Netta it's been a long time. Too long. I just wish that our meeting was under better conditions." He said as he moved from the door and took a seat next to her. He couldn't resist. He had to touch her. Marcell reached out and caressed her cheek as he looked down at the beautiful little girl in her arms.

"Netta, I'm going to do everything that I can. With the help of God guiding me I know that everything will be okay. I know that right now things are not good, but when things get better I want you and I to get together. I feel like God is giving us another chance."

"Right now I can't focus on that. I just want you to focus on my daughter and Blu. Know that I have always loved you and I always will."

"I love you too, Janetta."

I know that it has been long time and I'm trying to get back. Anyway thank you all for the prayers and words of encouragement. I know that in time things will get better. I hope you enjoy this short update. I will try to update again this weekend.
