Anyone who use to self harm or self harms now will know that the scars are hard to deal with.

People staring, asking questions giving weird looks...

Not to mention how uncomfortable and ashamed you may feel when your scars are on show to others.

I've heard so many people telling self harmers to cover up their scars.

That having a short sleeves t-shirt or shorts on makes you 'attention seeking'.

I've been called 'emo' and 'attention seeker' too many times for people seeing my scars.

And it has to stop!

You shouldn't be ashamed of your scars;
They are apart of you and your past.

Everyone deserve to be accepted for who they are, regardless of their appearance.

Every scar I have makes me who I am.
Please accept yourself for who you are,no matter what.

Lose the bagging clothes and show your scars, it's who you are.

Everyone should be accepted for who they are and more importantly , you should except yourself.

The people you need in your life won't care about your scars in your body, but about the person inside.

Screw everyone else!
Stereotypes are pointless.

No one is 'emo' or 'attention seeking' for not being ashamed of who they are.

Our scars tell a story, a story filled with hurt and pain.

But in a story we can come out with our head held high because we know we got through it.

Everyday is a battle but you have to keep fighting.

They are so many people to help you along the way.
And you are never alone.

Your scars don't make you any less if a person than anyone else.

So don't be ashamed to show your scars
Because they are apart of you.
