Well, I guess it could be worse. I still hate most of my classes this quarter. First block is Algebra, some boy sitting a few rows from me got kicked out of the class for not doing 5 homework questions I can guarantee everybody else just guessed at anyways. We ended up wasting 15 minutes just waiting for the teacher to stop yelling at him, and then at the rest of us as if somehow we were at fault.
Second block isn't much better. It's theology, and in all honesty, I don't really care that much about it. Strategy in most classes it seems will be to keep my head down, don't attract attention, get my work done as quickly as possible because there's going to be alot of it. At least 3rd block gives me a little bit of a break though; I am working on yearbook, and next week is going to be mostly taking formal pictures of clubs and such. that, and its mostly before and after school, so its basically a free block to work on homework and answer emails in... yay.At least 4th block is a LITTLE bit interesting though; its Lit, and I have Scribner for a teacher again. If nothing else, at least it's not boring. Beowulf was interesting, she's one hell of a story teller.
Wednesday was hell though; I only had about 4 hours of sleep because I never got home until 1:30 PM. We all knew that would be by default the toughest day of the year. Although, I enjoyed being able to play with drumline at the Thunder game. Something kind of weird happened though...
I mean, first of all, Drumline is a VASTLY male dominated group. The only other drum-playing female (excluding all cheerleaders and coaches) is a sophomore, and we get along well enough. Although, there are perks to that; I have made some very good friends who are guys because of drumline. One in particular, who I talk with on occassion outside of drumline (although there are a few). So cut forward to the Thunder game, we just finished our show and are headed off to go to our seats. Me and the other girl split off from the rest of the group to find the restrooms, since that's how the "buddy system" works. We meet up later on in the stands, and either sit and watch the game, whip out our phones, or just joke around. Near the end of 2nd quarter, the Thunder started doing alot of audience-oriented extra activities, like pulling people from the audience to shoot a goal for a game. Well, eventually, they pulled out the "Kiss Cam". there was an empty seat between me and some of the guys from drumline who I am friends with, because one of them had left the game early, since his parents were coming to pick him up. So, back to the empty seat, one of the guys sitting on the other side of it quickly moves over during the "Kiss Cam". I quickly shot a "Don't even think about it", which was followed by him explaining how it was a "Just in case", because he wanted to do some sort of joke with the camera if they aimed it at us... about a VERY LONG minute later, they finally took the camera back down to the players, and it was "kthanxbiee" as he quickly shuffled back to his original seat. I doubt there was really anything beyond a joke, but it was just kind of weird... :\
anyways, that's been life for me since my last update. trying to survive school and questioning the differences between jokes and possible attempts at romance. I wouldn't put it that far, we are just friends, and a good laugh is nothing to be concerned about.
