I pressed my lips to Lucas’s. “I know now pronounce you man and wife.” Mom was crying and Dad was looking close to tears himself. I smiled at them and ran down the aisle in my white dress. Lucas kept easy pace with me, and then he swung me into his arms and kissed me on the mouth.
“Mine. Forever mine.” He whispered in my ear. I smiled and wrapped my hands around his neck.
“Must we wait until tonight?” I asked, in his ear. He smiled and put me on top of the car. He spread my knees and kissed me. The other girls gathered around the other side of the car. I flicked my wrist and the bundle of flowers sailed over my head. Turning, I saw Heidi carrying the flowers. Dan was smirking and I laughed so hard I nearly fell off the car.
Lucas tucked me inside the car and slid in beside me. “Lucas? Can part vampires get pregnant by full vampires?”
“Yes. Full vampires can make a baby as well, Adrian.” I looked at him, saw the wicked glint in his eyes, and knew what he was planning. He kissed me, pressing me against the back seat. Jefferson rolled down the window.
“Perhaps you won’t do that in my car?” He asked us. I laughed against Lucas’s mouth as he slowly climbed off me. He kissed all the naked skin I had and then some.
“You’re beautiful, Adrian, and you will always be beautiful.” He tucked me close to his heart. “I’m thankful you came around, before I had to take dangerous measures.” I lifted my brow and he looked at me, smiling. I had never seen him as happy has he was today and we were engaged for six months. “Back the earlier question you had, love. A vampire stays pregnant for only a few weeks. Kind of like a dog, but vampires can’t stay crammed in one space to long.”
“Alright. Do you want a baby?” I asked.
It was quiet for a moment before Lucas answered. “Yes, I want to be a father.”
