I sat patiently in my living room, watching a random show on tv. It was quiet, but it was a peaceful kind of quiet.
A loud knock rang from my door and I pushed myself to my feet then scurried to it. I quickly opened it and was engulfed in a giant hug. "I missed you so much." Jaime whispered, clutching onto me as I sealed my eyes shut and hugged him back. "You should've called me." He mumbled when he pulled away.
"M'sorry." I smiled weakly and then looked at Vic who had his arms outstretched towards me. I walked a few steps and leaned down to hug him.
"Nice to see my family again." Vic chuckled.
"Yeah, it really is." I smiled wide and pulled away.
"Ready to go?" They both asked, I nodded and peered in my house to make sure everything was off. I locked my door then followed them to the small truck. Jaime and Vic climbed in the front and I squeezed myself into the backseats; I slid myself into the center seat in attempt to keep my knees from being forced into the opposite way.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
Jaime paused a moment. "Vic figured you would want a nice home cooked meal so we asked your mama if we could come over for one." Jaime grinned.
"Yeah, that sounds great. I haven't talked to my mama in awhile, she'll probably yell at me for that." I giggled and look forward.
Vic's hand was fit together with Jaime's on the middle console. I smiled wide, "How have you two been?" Jaime eyed Vic quickly before Vic nodded."Well, we've moved in together and Kellin tried to contact me, but Jaime scared him off." Vic spoke, looking right every few moments to look lovingly at Jaime. "But, besides that Jaime has been eating all my damn food."
"I have not!" Jaime whined.
"Mhmm, who ate all my taco mixes and shells for tacos I did not even make. Hmm?"
"I just wanted a snack! I haven't used all of them." Jaime flailed his right arm, trying to prove a failed point.
"Whatever you say, darling. Whatever you say." Vic chuckles and I join along as Jaime huffs and crosses his arms.
"I hate you guys." He mumbles.
"No, you don't!" I cut in and Jaime glares at me through the rear view mirror. "Well, we all enjoy food and knowing my mama, she'll make enough for a whole year." We all chuckle.
The conversations carried on, some of them I wasn't apart of, but I sat back and listened. I missed this, I missed my good friends and I was finally back in a state of calm and I loved it.
