-One week later-
-Kailyn's P.O.V-
Quietly cursing as my hands started to shake, I gripped the phone even harder.
Damn, why is it so hard to make a phone call?!
Finally mustering up all my courage, I pressed 'Call' and waited for Jason to pick up. After five seconds, which felt like an hour, he picked up. "Hey, who's this?" He asked and I stood there confused.
Oh right. He was the one who gave me his number. Not me.
"Uh, Kailyn." I muttered, silently telling myself to speak up.
"Excuse me, I couldn't quite hear you." He replied, with a small chuckle slipping out.
"It's Kailyn. And wow, you actually have manners, what a surprise!" I said louder and in mock surprise.
"Hey, didn't I say 'please' when I asked you out on that date?" Right after he said "date", my face burned a bright red and my eyes widened. It wasn't a date!
Was it?
Quickly shaking my head to empty out the thoughts about him and his choice of words, I replied nervously.
"I-it wasn't a date, you idiot! Why would I go on a date with you?"
God damn it, my voice softened at the end. To avoid the awkwardness that could follow, or-
"My, is the oh-so-lovely Kailyn admitting her feelings for the oh-so-charming Jason? Not straightforward like Jason hoped, but at least admitting it in a way?"
That cocky son of a-
"And is the princess perhaps, asking her future prince on a date?"
If it was possible, my face was redder than before. But hey, I can't let him have all the fun, I want to have some too.
"Why yes, Princess Kailyn is asking out Soon-to-be-Prince Jason out on a date. Perhaps maybe on Saturday, because there won't be school on Sunday, and the two surely need a night."
I wish I was right in front of him. A wink could help.

"O-oh!" I replied, my face turning into 50 shades of red. Wasn't Kailyn someone who's cold and somewhat shy? Never knew she was, what was the word?
Flirtatious! That's it!
Lovely. Every word and action she does makes my interest increase. Wasn't she just a little game for my enjoyment? I can't even remember, what the hell is she doing to me?!"
"Hellooo, don't lose yourself in an important situation, Light Yagami."
Right. Date on Saturday.
"So, basically tomorrow?" I asked, or could at least say.
"If you want to think like that, yes. Tomorrow. And at 1:00." She answered rather bluntly.
"Seems good to me. See you there, my princess." I quickly ended the call and smiled softly.
Didn't take as long as expected, but I'm slowly making her like me.
Slowly going beneath the coldness.
((A/N: 7 months isn't that long *nervous laugh*

Beneath the Coldness (Minecraftuniverse fanfiction)
Fiksi PenggemarKailyn just moved to a highly-confusing-to-herself American high school from Canada, making her feel quite left out. And just because of that, (and the stereotype of American teenage boys where they cheat 24/7) she put a cold barrier on herself. But...
