Ever since you told Jacob you were pregnant he's been sad. You have no reason why. But then again. You are also afraid to ask him. But today was enough. You had to. Even if it was going to be something negative
You see Jacob on the couch. You slowly lightly march and sit on the love seat
"Jakeyboo?" You say quietly hoping that he wasn't asleep
Jacob-,"yes baby?"he says slightly as if he was annoyed.
"Are you ready to be a daddy?"you ask him.
He knew Where this was going. So he implies
Jacob,"I'm not ready to answer that.."
"Why not?"you say hoping that he'd hear the sadness in your voice
Jacob gets up to face you. And he looks you deep in the eyes and says
"What if I suck at being a dad. What if he doesn't love me. Because when he gets older youd tell him that I hit you..what if we have an argument and you want me out of his life. I'm just not sure babe. I'm not. And I'm sorry. I just can't be like how my dad was."
Tears were in your eyes after what he said. You could tell where he was coming from. And everything he said. He meant it. So you kiss him. And grab his hand on your little belly.
"Jrs gonna love you Jacob. "
