,,You may go." He said.
I whisper to mum:
,, You can go. I have to talk to the principal first."
,,Principal Wilson?"I said.
,, I would like to have a word with you."
,, Make it snap!" he said sharply.
,,Why do I have to go to military school? I mean, why even me?" I asked.
He stood up, dragged me to the door and closed it behind me. -Why did he do that for!?
Anyhow, I got in the car and we finally got home. My mum pinned something on the fridge and went to sleep. I got closer to see what she wrote on the paper she pinned. -Please! Not again!
It said :,, Drive Becca to military hospital."
My heart began to pump wildly. Is it a surgery? Do I have a problem in my body? Why didn't she tell me?
I went upstairs and saw if my mum slept. She didn't. So I went inside and told my mum:
,, Mum, can we talk?"
She nods.
,,Well, you've been acting weird lately. Is something bothering you? You didn't even tell me that we're going to the hospital. What is going on?"
Suddenly my mum cracked into a cry, an awful heartbreaking cry.
-But why?
I sat beside her and tried to calm her down. She looked at me sadly:
,, Becca, you don't understand. I know it is hard for you to go to another school especially if it is a military school. It will completely change your lifestyle, I know. But the point is, I will never see you again, never ever again...And we are going to the hospital because you are going into a surgery. A big operation. They are going to insert a ring in your finger. A digital can't-come-off-ring. It should beep anytime someone points a gun at you, when you graduate."
I am shocked .I honestly don't know what to say! I am speechless. I head to my room not believing what I just heard.
