Sena's POV
We went back to the castle. We chose a different path to avoid people seeing us. We walked to the courtyard casually then to the outer wall of the castle then to stables.
I told Xete to stay near the door, and tell me if someone was coming. I wanted to tease her a bit so I went up to her, barely having space between us and she suddenly backed away, causing her to lean on the wall.
"Close the door," I said on a teasing voice.
She closed her eyes and took a step closer to me. I was taken aback and I didn't know what to do. She wanted me to kiss her. I immediately covered her eyes with my hand.
"Don't look, just close your eyes," I said.
"Where are we going? Are you going to rape me?" She asked while laughing.
"Are you seeeriouus. Just close your eyes," I smirked. She wanted it so bad.
I put aside the buckets of water and pulled out the piece of wood that looked like a part of the wall. I grabbed the key from my pocket and opened the door that's hiding behind the stable's walls.
"You can look now," I smiled.
Her jaw dropped, she was stunned and speechless on how beautiful my garden looked like.
"Do you like it?" I asked.
"Its more beautiful than you," she laughed.
Ill admit it; I don't even think that I'm beautiful. I'm just a fat ass Princess that is groomed to look elegant and I'm grateful for that.
"I'm just kidding. No one can be as beautiful as you do. Well, except for me of course," she was praising herself again. She continued as I didn't comment on it, "there's a swing under the tree?" She asked while running towards it. I was happy that she liked it.
I walked up to her, "of course. Where do you think we were going to put it." I smiled.
"Did you do all of this?"
"Nope. My father helped me and my mom went here before too. To teach me how to grow plants. After that, I was the only one who goes here and do things," I said proudly.
"Am I the only one besides you and you parents who have been here?"
I nodded.
"But why did you show me this place?"
"I don't know. I feel like I want to or I need to. I never brought anyone in here so I guess you should feel special. My dad owned this before, then she showed it to my mom. My siblings really doesn't know about this garden," then I pointed out the picnic basket and a clothe near the huge tree and the water fountain.
"You prepared this, didn't you?" She blushed and I did too.
"Yes," I don't know why I was being so shy.
We sat on the blanket and leaned on the tree. We ate the sandwiches that I made and talked about our life. She said, "how about this, you can ask me a question. I'll answer it then Ill ask you one too."
I agreed but hesitated a bit, "Okay. But what if I don't want to answer it?"
She stopped to think for a second and said, "We have three passes and whoever didn't use those will get to dare the loser. Since you already asked a question, Ill start now," she grinned.
"Not fair!" I pouted but she was determined to ask the question.
"Remember when we were on the inn, your eye turned red, and you whispered something. What was that?" She asked.
I don't know why I felt comfortable to share my secrets to her, like she can lift the heaviness that I was feeling but I still had to be careful, "It just means that I'm different from the others. So, do you know who attacked your kingdom? And if yes, who did it and why?"
"Your answer was so vague. Then you're going to give me a question that long? My gosh, that was like three question in one. Do you want to add the how and where too? But okay, so the kingdom that attacked us was from the southern west, and that's all I'm going to answer."
I felt like she was hiding something since she's very open to everything but she basically passed.
"Yes, Im going to give you a question that long. I supposed I have just answered your 2nd question." I smirked and continued, "Why are you enjoying my company when every one thinks that I'm bipolar?"
"You're such a deceiving creature. That's why they don't like you," She laughed and continued, "I don't know, I just feel like we have a connection and somewhat I feel like I need you." Then after a second of silence she asked, "do you feel the same way?"
"Yes. I'm contented that I have a friend like you. I mean you're like my best friend or the sister I never had," I lied because I'm a wrecked and I didn't want her to continue the feelings she have for me.
"Best f.. huh." She said on a low tone, like she was talking to herself again.
"Pardon me?" I said, as I didn't catch the word she said.
"Nothing, what's your question again?" She asked.
"Why the change of mood?" I asked.
"Nothing. Its just, I have this huge crush on someone and she's also a Princess. That's not the problem, but... I don't know if she likes me back, would you like me back?" She asked. For a second, I got jealous not knowing who this girl is and thinking to myself that she must be better than me and she can maker her happy, unlike me. But then again, I don't want to assume but she just said she liked me.
"Of course," I stood up and continued, "Lets go, its getting dark."
"But before that, I have a dare for you. I want to meet the girl you were dancing with on that small ball."
How did she know.
"Didn't you pass a question too? So do I get to dare you too?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Why do you want to meet her though? Anyways, my dare for you is to go easy on her. She's kind of shy," I smiled. I guess I just threw away every chance I had.
Xete's POV
I went to my room and kept asking myself why I had to lie to her. I really want to start something special with her and how can we do that if we cant even trust each other with our secrets. Why am I even doing this on the firs place. I'm putting her in danger. I need to fix everything first before I fall badly for her. I can't let something bad happen to her because of me. I know that they are going to come here and get me. How can I let myself stay here and just forget every damn thing...
