A bunch of letters were dropped and I immediately put aside the other ones when I saw a letter that came with a square box. Nah's stamp was on it. She laid down the box on top of the letters from different kingdoms, stating their best wishes.
Nah had written a letter to Xete, since they couldn't see each other before the wedding ceremony.
Dear Xete,
You have been the most precious gift I have ever received. Youre the best thing thats ever been mine. I don't know what to say anymore but I still know that I need you like sleep and food. I dont really know what Im saying. Maybe its because my nervous system is failing me just like what happened to my father when she married my mother. I just feel so happy. Just know that my heart wont sing without you. My world wouldnt mean anything without you.
I love you.
Xete grabbed the box and opened it. Inside was a pearl necklace.
Hours later, the church bells started chiming. The people have already gathered before they even rang the bell, wanting a good view of the Royals. The people waited for a long time under the sun just to catch a glimpse of the Princesses.
The crowd was very loud when the Royals went down from their carriage. Then an angel seemed to pass when the crowd got quiet and they gasped with awe as the bride and the King and Queen stood in front of the church's closed door and waved at the crowd first. As they cued to open the door, the sound of the piano bursted out on the streets, and they began walking on the aisle. Everyone was speechless and tearing up.
Nah stood in front of the altar and nervously waited for her bride. Minutes later, everyone started murmuring and she was more worried. She looked at her parents for answers. Did Xete changed her mind?
As she was about to run out of the church and look for her wife, the sound of an alarming gong echoed. A soldier bursted inside the church. He yelled, "There's an attack!"
The King ordered, "close the door's church! Control the crowd outside!" Everyone started to panic except for the Royals, and the Knights who knew their duty. The Princes and Princesses lead the guests to a tunnel that will lead to the castle.
Nah stayed behind and walked towards the soldier. She grabbed him and yelled, "Where's Xete?!"
The soldier hesitated but Nah had so much force in her grip. He finally said, "She's been abducted..."
She started running towards the church's door but the soldiers blocked her. Nah cried and yelled. Begging the soldiers to let her go as she struggle to pass by them.
When begging didn't work. She backed down, threw her heels and ripped her dress. So she can move freely. She was about to punch the soldier's face then the King grabbed her.
"Listen to me! You cannot go outside! Do you want to get shot with those arrows and die. If you die, who will take care of Xete?! Go in the castle first, and I will let you find her!" The King yelled at her in frustration.
The Queen protested, "No! She will stay inside!"
The King looked at the Queen, "I would do the same thing for you."
A huge shadow passed by and a silent fear possessed everyone.
"What was that?"
"A dragon. A very strong and rare one," the King's voice trembled, even he was frightened.
Nah screwed her eyes shut and as she opened it, her eyes turned red. Their eyes locked in a shared understanding, "I will kill it."
The King nodded.
