I've gotten some curiosities from a few of you about Nyx's past, so I decided to write this for you guys and give you her backstory. I hope you enjoy it!
Hux stalks up to Kylo with something in his hand. When he slams it down on the table unceremoniously, Kylo raises an eyebrow at him, then remembers Hux can't see his face and asks what it is.
"I found it. Why don't you open it and see? I don't know if you'll find the information surprising or not."
Kylo picks up the folder and opens the cover. All it takes is a look at the bolded first line; he feels his temper skyrocket. A hand shoots out towards Hux, using the Force to squeeze his windpipe and lift him off the ground. His face turns a similar shade to his hair.
"Where did you get this?" Kylo demands loudly.
Hux manages a smug grin despite being suffocated. "My sources must remain a secret, I'm afraid."
Kylo throws him aside with a growl. Once he's on his feet again, Kylo takes hold of his shirt, clenching it in his fist and bringing him to eye level.
"Does she know?" Hux chokes out, still recovering from the assault.
"No," Kylo snarls, "and it'd better stay that way. If she finds out from you, I'll have you thrown off this ship."
"Why can't she know?"
Kylo releases him, sighing as he smooths out the wrinkles in his shirt. "She can, but I don't want her finding out like this."
"Then it'd be in your best interest to show her, or take her back to Coruscant, or do something about it. You know she's curious; if she even catches a glimpse of this, she'll want to look at it."
Kylo shoves the folder into his hands. "Take this back to whomever gave it to you. I don't want to see it again."
"Tell her."
"We'll see."
As Hux walks away, Kylo tries to fight off the rest of his anger but fails to do so. When he leaves the room, it's nothing but smoke and scars.

"Are you sure this is wise? If I knew any better, I'd say this is another one of your stupid ideas," Hux mutters as Kylo and he walk along a dilapidated road towards a small building.
"You don't know anything about why I'm really here," Kylo says, "so just keep your mouth shut and wait outside."
"I have the right to come in there if I—"
"But you won't."
Hux huffs and stands against the wall as Kylo enters the tiny shop. It's very dense—only room for about four people comfortably—and dark. A desk sits across the two walls, blocking the path that leads to a closet and another room on the right. Upon hearing the door close, the owner comes out of the side room and approaches the desk with a cocky grin.
"Kylo Ren," she says, "I knew I'd see you again. Or are you back to Ben now?"
Kylo grits his teeth. "It's Kylo. Ben Solo is dead."
"Right, right," she muses. "What can I do for you?"
Kylo takes off his helmet so he can speak quieter and still be understood. He sets it aside, taking note of how the woman, Nyx, takes in his appearance with no discretion. Her smile widens, her eyes grow dark.
