Herd Mentality

Romans 12:1-2 (MGS) So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life-your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life-and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Herd Mentality - A mentality characterized by a lack of individual decision-making or thoughtfulness, causing people to think and act in the same way as the majority of those around them; No individually.

The thing that seperates certain people that stand out in a crowd and make them what we veiw a exceptional is not just their skillset.

Their are:

7 billion people in he world.

17 million babies being born every year.

1/3 of which will live to be 100 years old.

So with numbers like that you can't possibly beleive there's no other person that is as good as a Kobe Bryant, a Micheal Jackson, a Martin Luther King, a Barack Obama. The thing that seperates extrodinatory people from average & common is their mindset not their skillset.

Psalm 75:6-7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

We should never be jealous of what God is doing in another persons life. The verse says promotions comes from God.

Promotion: the act or fact of being raised in position or rank : the act of furthering the growth or development of something;

God honors the individual that is willing to reach beyond their social, educational, and financial limitations.

Hidden Human Potential

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

I know this may bother some of the saved folks. But God created human beings and he honors those that honor human potential. God desire for you is for you to be a limitless being.

Joel 3:9-10 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

In this verse God is talking to farmers, common men. Even though they were common people, God calls them mighty men! If you're ever going to do great things for God you have to allow God to change your view of yourself.

Imagine, God calling you mighty when all you know is farming? At that point you have a decision to make. You can Keep looking at your currcumstances to get more excuses of why you can't do what God is calling you to do, or answer the call, get out of your own way and let God be God.

Well that is just what God is doing, he is calling you to greatness!

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

In the same manner that God was calling the farmers in Joel 3:9-10 he is calling every child of God. In Joel he called farmers "might men" and told them their declaration should be, "I am strongh". Now he tells us that, from his prospective and vantage point we have already overcome the world, and all our situations, circumstances, and problems. How is this?, Because the greater one, Jesus Christ is on the inside of you!
