Chapter 25

I looked at the old house. It was the same with no change.

I knocked on the old door.
"Who's there" my mother's voice said.
"It's me Candice" I said.
The door opened, my mother kept staring at me.
"Candice my love" she ran and gave me a long hug....

"Mom I miss you so much" I cried.
"I miss you too sweatheart, I didn't see you from a long time, I thought you forgot me" she said crying.
"Of course I didn't mom" I said.

We pulled out from the hug and dad came.
"Candice sweaty" he hugged me.
"I miss you so much dad" I said.
"Me too" he smiled then pulled out from the hug.
"Mom, Dad, this is my friend Melissa, she is really a good friend" I said looking at Melissa who was standing.
"Oh hey there Melissa" both said in a friendly tone.
"Hey" Melissa smiled.
"Come both of you enter" my mother said and directed us to the living room, it looked the same as the last time I saw it no new. I entered and handed my mother the chocolates.

Both of us sat over the couch and parents sat over the couch infront of us.

"So you will leave after how many days?" My father asked.
"After two days" I sighed.

I am so happy for this oppurtionity but I won't be able to see my parents...

"Two days! No way you will leave us after two day?" My mother said, she looked shocked and she was on the verge of tears.
"Yeah, but of course I will visit you and never forget you" I said.
"We need to stay with you before you leave, we will really miss you Candice" my mother said, she was crying.
"I will stay with you in those two days mom" I asured her.
"You won't come to the college again?!" Melissa said, her eyes were wide.
"Yeah" I sighed.
"But what about Harry, what about Louis and your friends, you will leave without saying good bye?!" Melissa asked, her eyes were still wide.
"Harry is no longer with me.....About the other....Er.....I think I will go to the college in the day before I travel so I can say good bye and gather my things" I said.
"Oh Candice we will really miss you" Melissa was on the verge of tears.
"Me too Melissa" I said.
"If it was by my hand, I would bring your mother and go live in London but we can't because of my job" my father sighed.
"I will come and see you mom and dad, and you melissa and the others too soon" I said.

Silence filled the room for a minute then my mother decided to change the subject, we kept talking for hours.

"I think I should leave now" Melissa said.
"You will leave so early why dear?" My mother asked her.
"Because I have homeworks to do, hope I could see you soon" she smiled.
"You are welcomed at any time here" my mother smiled.
"Thank you maam" she said.
"Good bye Melissa, I will see you soon" I came and hugged Melissa.
"Good bye Candice, if you need anything, call me" she said.
"I will, oh look, if Harry asked about me, don't tell him that I am here" I said.
"So what will I tell him when he ask me?" She asked.
"Tell him you don't know" I said.
"Ok, good bye" she said then left.

"Candice, you can go change your clothes until I prepare dinner" my mother said after Melissa left.
"Ok mom" I smiled then left to my room.

My room felt the same, it looked like nobody entered it since I left, it was clean and arranged.

I grabbed one of my pajamas to wear.

I wore it then left the room. My father was sitting and reading his newspaper as usual, this was his routine.

My mother was preparing the dinner so I went to help her.

"Do you need any help mom?" I asked.
"No sweatheart you can go have a rest" she said.
"Mom I will help you, what shall I bring?" I insisted on helping her.
"Ok you can bring three eggs from the refrigerator, we are going to make a cake" she said. My mother is great at baking, she was used to learn from my grandmother.

I opened the refrigerator and grabbed four eggs.

"There they are mom" I said while putting them in a small plate.

We baked a cake, it smelled delicious.
"Now we are going to decorate it" my mother said after taking the cake out of the oven.
"Mom can I decorate it?" I asked.

I liked decorating cakes, I was doing it when I was small, I was making smiley faces over the cake.

I chuckled at remembering this memory.

"Sure love, but make a new face this time" my mother chuckled.
"I will" I giggled.
"Here is the cream and you can use those to decorate the cake" she said while showing me a shelf full of cake decorations.

I finished decorating the cake after five minutes then inserted it into the refrigerator.

After half an hour we took the cake outside of the refrigerator then sliced it into many pieces and took it to the living room.

We ate the cake and watched the tv together.
"What about watching The Maza Runner?" I asked when we were thinking about watching a movie.
"Ok then" my father said and brought the movie.

We watched the movie, my mother said that she liked it but my father said that he hated this type of movies.

I kept chuckling about my fathers looks while he was watching.

The night passed happily and we all enjoyed it.

"I think it's time to sleep" my mother said. It was 12:00 am.
"Yeah, good night mom and dad" I said them walked to my room.

I put my head over the pillow, it was so soft unlike the one in my dorm room.

I kept thinking about what may happen there in London until my eyes felt heavy and everything became dark.
