When I woke up I remembered that today was the day. How could I forget.
"So... are you ready," I heard Mark said from the bottom bed of the bunk bed.
"Um... yes," I said nervously.
"You sound like your really nervous and scared," he said with a laugh.
"No I'm not," I protested.
Then it was quiet for a long time, until a cop came in and gave us breakfast. We quickly ate. Then I went up to lay on my bed before I left. I wanted to get my mind of everything. Surprisingly, I fell asleep.
Ok, I woke up to Mark's voice.
"Wake up," he said.
I quickly woke up.
I went down to see that he already got the speghetti ready. It really did look like throw up.
"We only have about 3 minutes. Hurry up," he said.
I go and get on my kness pretending that I just threw up. Mark puts some speghetti all over my shirt and some around my lips. Ew it really smelled and looked nasty. I actually felt like throwing up. I try to make myself look as weak as possible.
From far away we can hear other cops letting out other people to back. We are at the way back, so we're always the last ones and when we come out everyone is already outside. It was a good thing right now. Hopefully the cop was going to be alone. Then we hear footsteps coming our direction. Then we see a cop. It was a different cop that I've never seen before.
He opens the door and sees me and runs up to me without thinking.
"Are you okay," the cop said worriedly.
Then all of a sudden I see Mark jump on him and puts his hand over his mouth. The cop looked hella scared. I quickly get his gun, tazer, and this other weapon I've never seen. I felt kinda bad for the cop since he was nice. Mark hits him in the stomach really hard and then I gave him the gun.
"Go to the corner," he said to the cop.
The cop quickly listened.
"Please don't hurt me," he said.
"Why not," Mark said in a voice that seemed like he was taunting him.
'Because I have a family who needs me," he said with tears in his eyes.
I felt so bad for the cop.
"Alright let's make a deal," Mark said with a small evil smile.
"Ok," he said with a small smile.
"Well you have to get us out if here without us being noticed. Freeze the security cameras and I don't want any evidence left," Mark said.
I expected the cop to disagree or to argue about the whole thing, but instead he nodded his head.
"Wait how do we now your telling the truth," I said.
"Just trust me I'll do what you said since you spared my life," the cop said.
"And if your lying we will find you and your family and that's all I'm going to say," Mark said with a serious face.
The cop look horrified when Mark said that.
"Ok so get ready. I'm going to take you guys and help you escape, but you have to swear that if you get caught you will never mention me to anyone," the cop said.
"I swear," I said quickly.
"I swear," Mark said grumpily.
With that the cop left. I trusted him. I don't know if Mark did. We waited in silence. Mark just kept on looking at the wall. Wow it felt like hours have passed, but it's only been 30 minutes. Then I wondered if the cop was ever coming. Did he lie to us? Were we so easily fooled?
