Chapter Three

The walls are fresh and sedating: the whiteness an addictive void of nothingness. It grabs at ghostly rays of sunlight  and lures wondering eyes to a place not quite in the present but instead to a limbo of unforgotten day dreams. It's then that those day dreams are twisted toward the dearly departed and the feverish tongues of madness, an invisible occupant of the walls staring deep into the souls of deranged patients who, by this point in their lives, were reduced to a state of blank oblivion.

"How long, would you say, that you've been experiencing these ... 'urges'?"

"Honestly? All my life. I don't know if I would quite call them -"

"That's quite alright Ms. Either way you answer it does not change the fact that I do not  believe you are suited nor capable of living within the community . That much can be acquired from both these sessions as well as your behavior external to this establishment."

"No, no don't say that -"

"My report has already been signed and approved previous to this session Ms. It is my belief that you should learn from this and move forward in your rehabilitation. Don't fight it, face it."

"Rehab? You don't possibly mean -"

"Now, now Ms, antisocial behavior is just one of the many tell tale signs of your ... condition. We do not want repeats of what you did last time."

"And what would that be? In fact don't answer that, I don't care."

"I am not obliged to do so anyway, Msssssss."

"Just tell me I'm not going there."

Silence

"Tell me I'm not going there."

More deadly silence.

"TELL ME I AM NOT FUCKING GOING THERE!!!"

"Dr Davis, please call security. Ms here is being difficult."

"Don't you dare,"

"Oh but I do dare and you know why that is?"

"Indulge me."

"Because you no longer have power over this situation, you can thank Ms Winters for that."

Hey a very short chapter but I wanted to write something very contrasting to the story so far to break it up.

Hope it wasn't too painful.

Till next time in the journey through Fine lines.
