Chapter 7: "Just Thinking About A Moment Here With You"

Louis' POV

One Week Later

Niall and Zayn gave me a job at their tattoo parlour. I was now the receptionist at That One Ink Place. Things were good, at the moment. I guess I was getting better. I wasn't thinking about him as much. But I kept holding onto him and I couldn't let go.

Flashback

"Louis, you need to come shopping with us," Niall whined.

"Yeah, mate... You've been here for three days and you haven't left or even unpacked," Zayn added.

"I don't want to go anywhere," I said.

"How about this, you come with us, buy some new clothes, and then we can get ice-cream," Niall said, smiling.

"Fine, I'll go," I gave in. "But only for the ice-cream."

Zayn drove us to the mall. We were casually walking around. Niall and Zayn were hand-in-hand, making me the awkward third wheel. It was times like this when I want to go back to Harry, but I know that I can't. We went into a few stores and I found a few different items. I was fine until we got to the Jack Wills store. I stopped, dead in my tracks, at the entrance of the store. I stared at the sign on top on the door.

Everything in that store is going to remind me of Harry.

"Hey, Lou... you okay?" Niall turned towards me.

I started to nod, but stopped myself, "I can't go in there,"

"Come on, you'll be fine," Niall reached for my arm.

"No," I pulled my arm away. "I'm not going in there,"

"If he's not ready, don't force him, babe," Zayn said to Niall.

"Okay, just don't go too far." Niall spoke calmly.

"You say that like I'm five. I'm twenty-one, Niall, I think I'll be just fine,"

"Says the one who wanted ice-cream,"

"Whatever, Niall." I said, walking towards a bench a few meters ahead.

I sat down and tried to clear my head. I couldn't help but think of Harry lounging around the flat in his boxers and I'd be freezing, and he'd let me wear one of his hoodies and then Harry would lay his head on my chest and we'd just lay in each other's arms.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of laughter. It wasn't just anyone laughing... It was Harry.

My head shot up and I looked around. I hadn't heard Harry's laugh in so long, but I was certain that it was him. I kept looking and searching for the origin of the laughter, but I couldn't find him. I stood up and walked to the other side of the escalator. That's when I saw him Harry was sitting at a table by an espresso bar... but he wasn't alone. A man, not much younger than me I'm guessing, was sitting in front of him. He had short brown hair and brown eyes, quite handsome if you ask me. He had a few tattoos, that I could see... Just like Harry. That guy... he is making Harry laugh and smile. I can't do that anymore... Harry doesn't want me.

That thought made my stomach cringe. Seeing Harry, with him, smiling and laughing brought tears to my eyes. That should be me... I never should've left him, and seeing this made me believe it.
