Chapter 15: "Never"
Harry's POV
I was standing in our bedroom. I was watching Louis and myself sleep. There was a thud at the front door. I got out of bed and told Louis to stay there. I followed myself down the hall and through the kitchen.
"Wrong choice, Harry," The man's voice sounded amused.
I barely had time to think before I heard Louis scream. I ran back to the bedroom. Louis was pinned up against the wall. There was a man holding a gun to his head.
"Ten," The man started counting down.
"Nine,"
"Eight,"
I didn't know what to do.
"Seven,"
Louis called out, "H-Haz,"
"Six,"
I took a step forward.
"Five,"
Louis was frozen with fear. Tears rimmed his eyes. Tears filled mine as I shook my head.
"Four,"
The room began to fade away. I watched myself run into the room. The man turned around and shot me.
"Three,"
Louis lost it. I reached out towards him, but he couldn't see me.
"Two,"
The man faced Louis and cocked the gun.
"One,"
"No!" I cried out as the gun went off and Louis disappeared.
"Harry!" I heard Louis' voice.
"Harry, wake up!"
I opened my eyes and Louis was holding my head in his lap. My hair was soaked with sweat and I was shaking.
"Lou," My voice cracked.
"I'm here, Haz. I'm right here," He kissed my forehead.
"Don't leave me, Lou," I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"I'm not going anywhere,"
I buried my head in his neck. We sat there for about twenty minutes.
"Harry, can I take you somewhere?" Louis asked quietly.
I nodded.
"Okay, you go get dressed and I'll go pack the car," He smiled.
I furrowed my eyebrows.
"We're going skiing,"
"What?"
"We need to get away, just for the weekend. We'll be back before your next session with Liam... Nobody'll even know we're gone,"
I smiled, "Sounds good,"

So about twenty minutes later, we were in route to a little town called Newcastle. Louis was driving because he said I needed to rest. Too bad if I sleep, I have nightmares.
It took us about four hours to get to Newcastle. We stopped at the office that owned the cabin we were renting.

Louis' POV
"This was a great idea, babe," Harry said, looking up at me.
We were currently laying on the couch. Harry's head was on my chest and I played with his curls.
"It was, wasn't it?"
He smiled and nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck.
"Harry?"
"Yeah,"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Anything, love,"
I was about to ask the question I honestly didn't want to know the answer to.
"Why'd you do it?"
"I don't want to talk about it," He said, sounding sleepy.
I shifted my body and Harry sat up.
"I want to know, now."
He sighed and turned away.
"I... I thought you'd be better off without me," He said softly.
I didn't know what to say. I just stared at him. His green orbs filled with tears.
"Don't you ever say that," I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Harry, I was in hell without you. Hell, I don't even know why I left,"
Harry pulled away, "I do.. I was an awful boyfriend. Louis, I was an asshole... And you deserve better than that, better than me,"
"That's bullshit, Harry, and you know it,"
"What made you stay so long?"
"Why do you think?"
Harry didn't say anything.
"I stayed because I love you, Haz."
He smiled, "You're not gonna leave again, right?"
"Never," I smiled and gently pressed my lips against his.
