Luke
Day passed since I had found out that Chloe and Jessica were dating. They didn't even try to hide their relationship. They were really open and their relationship could be considered as showing off, but honestly, it looked pretty normal. Some people wanted their relationship to be known by everyone, right? It was understandable. They were cute, good, and perfect for each other, to say at least.
So many people asked me what was going on between me and Chloe. They said that we were pretty cute together, looking at how similiar both of me and her. Blonde hair, mixed personalities, and sometimes didn't give a fuck about anyone. Except for Chloe, she seemed love to have an attention all over her, although people maybe couldn't really see that.
I answered them with a simple, 'things happened' everytime. Some of them understood and just shrugged it off as they left with inaudible steps, walking away from me without another questions. Some of them kept being persistent with throwing so many twisted and confusing questions at me, which I just decided to tell them with 'it's none of your business' then left them without any trace behind.
Currently, I was studying alone in the library. My chin was leaning against the palm of my hand as my eyes managed to lock with the book which was lying onto the table spindly, explaining so many mysteries of confusing formulas therein.
As I slipped my fingers in between of the paper which I did to turn the next page of the book, suddenly I felt a hand touched my shoulder, making my heart leap for a second and shocked the shit out of me."Michael!" I shouted with whisper, knowing I was still in library. Everyone was concentrating and obviously, it would be very bad if I yelled and made their gaze turn to focus on me.
Michael didn't respond. His expression was hardly serious, stern, and sharp, making me slightly curious as he slotted down beside me and moved closer towards me. It was rare of course, seeing Michael acting like this. He was never serious except in some rare occasion, for example was, like this one.
"What happened?" I whispered before letting him to talk first. Michael let out a dense sigh, closing his eyes to arrange some words as he shook his head, trying to pour everything out by opening his mouth to talk.
"I think Dylan told something to Calum," hearing that, I knitted my eyebrows together, as if I was confused, hinting to ask for more information he had by tilting my head. Michael sighed once again, his eyebrows furrowed later after he looked at me. Sharp and serious.
His words were like sealed deep inside, locked with some mantra that caused him difficult to talk about it. But I kept compelling him to say something by nudging him repeatedly, in many times. "C'mon Mikey, just say it already."
"You know, that 'taboo topic' between us you said about a few days ago?"
"Yeah...? What about that?" I trailed off, my voice sounded unsure anymore after he mentioned it.
"I think Dylan mentioned that to Calum," my eyes widened at Michael's sentence, mouth agape in disbelief. I was sure that my eye balls would come out from it's bones, knowing I was too shocked to believe anything right now.
Didn't know what to say, I felt my heart was beating rapidly against my chest. It was the feeling of fear. The feeling when someone had found out your secret and might hate you because of that. Calum, of course, despised cheating so much. He always told me about that and that was why, I was so scared if he found out about what had happened between Michael and me a long time ago, he would leave me, he wouldn't trust me anymore.
I gulped my jaw down frantically. Slowly, distractedly dropped my head down against my palm, hiding all the thoughts that had clearly written across my face, more like, my entire experession.
