Bella
I pull up to the club with Angela and Eric who road with me. I step out and turn to the two cars behind me containing Sarah, Josh, Emerald, Alice, Rose, Emmett, and Jasper.
"Everyone ready?" I ask as the new members of the coven stare in shock at Eric and Angela.
"I didn't know they were vampires." Alice says shocked.
"They were attacked by Victoria....her note to me letting me know she was in town. Eric loves traveling and Angela doesn't really enjoy it. So she stays around while he travels about once a year. He will be here now until December. He only travels for a month or so sometimes less, anymore time apart and they start.....changing. So, welcome to my club." I smirk at Alice's shock.
"Your club?" She asks curiously.
"Last time we were here the place was going bankrupt and was gonna close down so I bought it. I don't work here I just oversee everything, keep it running smoothly. Peter and Charlotte actually run it and there's a vampire section that laces its drinks with blood, both kinds. It was Marcus's idea, he wanted vampires to be able to enjoy clubbing as much as humans do without the risk of a body showing up the next day." I explain and she nods.
"This place just keeps getting better." She admires the rundown building.
"Its falling apart." Emmett protests.
"No its not. It just looks that way because I like it." I shrug and go over to the bouncer just outside.
"Hey boss." He smiles.
"Derek. Their with me." I smile back and hand him a $100, the entrance fee for everyone.
"Alright well go on in." He says opening the door.
"Thanks Derek." I say and go inside and look around the very loud club at everyone.
"BOSS IN THE HOUSE!" The DJ says into his mic and everyone cheers. I'm immediately handed a drink by a young girl.
"Ah....thanks." I say and dump it as soon as she's gone.
"Why did you do that?" Jasper asks confused
"Because..... The humans that come here tend to buy drinks for me when they know I'm coming and most of the time their drugged.....I don't take chances." I say and nod at the bartender who winks. He sets a few drinks on the counter and I go grab them and pass them around, keeping one for myself.

The Next Morning
I wake up with a pounding headache and no memory of the night before. I groan and sit up. I check my phone to see missed calls from Jake and my dad. I sigh and call my dad.
"What do you want?" I ask as soon as he answers.
"The guard has arrived. Your change will happen as soon as you're ready." He says and I smirk.
"Good. It will happen in a few days." I say calmly and hang up. I change into a pair of ripped up blue jeans covers in paint splatter. I put on a white sweater and a pair of white heels. I brush my hair and pull it into a high ponytail. I leave my face free of makeup and go through one of the passageways to the first floor, to the kitchen. I step out of the passageway to see the kitchen empty. I open the fridge and start to make something to eat before I hear childish giggling and go to the living room. I see Rose playing with Carlie while the others watch. I smile.
"When did Jake drop her off?" I ask startling everyone.
"An hour ago." Alice says smiling.
"Why didn't you wake me?" I ask Josh who puts his hands up.
"She asked me not to." He points to Rosalie who just gives a small smile.
"I wanted to meet her. I figured you wouldn't mind if I watched her until you woke up. Emerald said you don't typically sleep in even when you did go out the night before and adviced against waking you up. I'm sorry." She says and I shake my head.
"Its alright. She seems quite taken with you. I trust you Rose. My change will happen in 3 days time. At least I know that between you and Jake.... Carlie will be safe until I wake up. I don't want anyone who doesn't live in this house, or a member of the pack anywhere near her while I'm sleeping. Not even my dad. Alright?" I ask staring at her levelly.
"No one will get near her." She says truthfully and I smile.
"Thank you Rose." I say and she nods.
"Bella......Victoria arrived and gave me a note for you." Sarah says coming into the room with a letter.
"I'll be in my study." I say taking the letter from her.
"I'll bring you some breakfast." She says.
"Thank you Sarah." I say calmly and go to my study without another word and sit at my desk. I stare at my name scrawled elegantly on the front of the envelope. I pull the letter from it and unfold the letter.
-Bella, I know you have no reason to trust me or to believe anything I have to say, but I want to apologize. I was wrong. Its not your fault my mate is dead. Its his fault. I also want to tell you that Edward Cullen and the rest of his coven are planning something. And I don't think its anything good. I over heard them talking about getting help from people down south. I know you can take care of yourself I just wanted to warn you. I would like to try and be friends if Thats alright. Nothing will bring James back but I found someone. He reminds me of James. Maybe it could work. Victoria- I smile at the end of the letter and fold it up, put it back in the envelope, and lock it one of the drawers of my desk. I go over a few things about the store before Sarah brings me in a plate with some pancakes and a glass of orange juice.
"She said Edward, Esme, and Carlisle are seeking help down south. Call Emily....tell her to keep a look out, as a favor of course." I say and she nods before leaving the room. I eat quickly before I open an email about the club and start making calls to places to restock the alcohol and the blood as well as new books and music and music supplies for the store.
I hang up the phone for the last time around 3 and sigh staring at my now cold lunch that Sarah had kindly made me. Sending something I head to Rose's room and knock once and go inside to see Carlie sleeping on her bed.
"Rose?" I ask gently and she smiles at me.
"She fell asleep. I didn't know where her room is so I didn't want to move her. I was just gonna call you." She explains quietly.
"Her room is on the floor below this one. Its surrounded by the others' rooms. She's safer there than with me at the moment. Come on I'll show you." I say smiling and she picks her up easily.
"What did she eat?" I ask.
"Um Sarah made her a bowl of fresh fruit. She said you guys are vegetarians?" She asks.
"I've always been one. I don't feed Carlie meet. She gets enough protein and stuff from everything else she eats. Sarah makes sure of it. Carlie doesn't seem to be missing much. She loves her fruit....especially strawberries. She loves strawberries. Here it is." I say opening the dark cherry wood door with her name plastered on it in a soft purple color. The room inside is decorated with loads of toys, her bed, a dresser, a closet, bins for her toys, and a little bike she loves riding. The room itself is painted a light lilac color with intricate black designs.
"Its a lovely room." She says in awe as she lays her in bed.
"Thank you. I decorated myself." I say and she smiles. I lead her back out and she looks at me.
"Jasper said he wanted to talk to you. Should I send him to your room or your office?" She asks and I laugh softly.
"I only use my office for work. He can come to my room if he wants." I say and head to my room and change into black yoga pants and loose light blue T-shirt. I put my shoes on the rack with the others and sit on my chair playing games on my phone before a knock at the door before it opens revealing Jasper and I can't help but smile.
"Please come in." I say warmly and he does. He closes the door behind him and just stands their awkwardly.
"What's wrong?" I ask confused.
"You didnt tell me you decided to change so soon." He says softly sitting on the edge of my bed.
"No reason to wait. Volturi are getting impatient. The only reason they haven't just changed me is partly because of my abilities and partly because of Carlie and the others. I want to to be changed. I wanted to be changed a long time ago. Now it can finally happen. Are you against the idea?" I ask amused.
"No! I want to change you. I do.....I just thought you wanted to wait until Carlie was older. Or until everyone settled in here. With what Emerald and the others were saying it sounds like Edward is gonna cause problems soon." He explains.
"They won't do anything with so many people around. And they are in the south. I have someone on it. Everything will be fine. With all the venom running in my veins my change won't last long. Emeralds change only lasted a day and a half, she had half a dozen vampires bite her. She was gang raped by them before they bit her." I say shrugging.
"Wow. I also wanted to apologize." He says softly and I look at him confused.
"What for?" I ask.
"For breaking my promise. For leaving like I did. For returning the way I did. I wanted to come back sooner, do it differently." He admits.
"You went through the same pain that I did. I forgave you a long time ago." I say softly.
"Even though I broke my promise?" He asks and I move to sit on the bed beside him.
"Jasper, in was drawn to you the first time I saw you after I got out of Alice's car my first day of school. I promised myself, when I gave you the same thing I gave Alice, that no matter what you did, or said, I would always forgive you. I've never really been one to hold a grudge. And I never could stay mad at you for anything. It took you leaving to make me realize how I really felt for you. I had seem people lose their mates....Victoria for one. Edward...... Sarah and her mate were separated for a while. It didn't take long for me to put the pieces together. Its my job to forgive you. You didn't want to leave, you had no choice. By breaking your promise you thought you were making the right choice. If the roles were reversed I would have done the same thing." I say and he looks at me shocked.
"How is it you knew before I did?" He asks quietly.
"Because, I'm smarter." I tease gently
"Lies, all lies. But no, seriously how?" He asks and I smile.
"Because I was inlove with you long before you left. I had seen mated pairs. I've been told what it feels like to be away from your mate and how you know you've found yours. I just......saw the signs." I say looking at him. He smiles softly before his lips meet mine softly
