Chapter 3

Shane walked into first period (Math class) happier then he’s been in a long time. He put his bag on the ground next to his desk and sat down. His desk was next to Lisa because the teacher knew Lisa was Shane’s only real friend.

"Hey shane, why did you leave so fast this morning" Lisa asked.

"Oh ah you know me, just getting my weekly orgy in" he tried to cover why he actually left with some humor like he usually did.

It didn’t work. “Shane I’m serious, is everything alright?"

"Lisa I’m fine don’t worry about me, i just really had to go to the bathroom-oh hey did you want to come to Luke Conard’s house this weekend? He invited us"

"Wait since when are you friends with Luke? I’ve only ever seen you talk to him once."

"When I was in the bathroom Luke saw me cr-" he cut himself off. “He saw me, um trip because my shoelace was untied and he helped me up and then invited me." He lied. “I hope that was believable enough" he though to himself"

"Oh um okay, I can come"

The second bell went off the one that means you have to be In class by now.

Miss Coghlin got up from her desk. “Alright quiet down, today we are going to review square roots"

*First period passes by*

"We’ll that was a boring ass class" Shane said as he got up and grabbed his backpack.

"That was really stupid." She agreed and then hugged him and said “See you at lunch Shane"

"Bye girl, see you in drama" he said in a ghetto accent.

They walked opposite ways and stared making his way to gym class the class he hated the most because Cullen was in it and never left him alone during games. He prayed that maybe today would be different but he doubted it.

He made his way down the hall only to be stopped by Luke. “Hey man are you feeling any better?"

"Actually ya, thank a lot" he smiled at Luke.

"Do you mind me asking why you were upset?"

"Oh um well.." Just as he was about to get it out Ingrid walked over and grabbed Luke’s hand. “Hey Luke" she said “and hey.. Shane? Right?" She smiled at Shane.

"Uh ya that’s me, Hi Ingrid."

She looked back at Luke “oh hey Luke are we still on for the movie this weekend?"

"Oh crap I forgot about that. Hey Ingrid did you mind if Shane and Lisa came along?"

"Oh ya that’s fine the more the better right, well I’d better get to second period, Bye Luke." She kissed him on the cheek. “Bye Shane" she waved and made her way down the other hall.

"You really don’t mind us coming along Luke?"

"No no Shane I really want you two to come, it will be fun getting to know new people right?"

"Ah I guess, well I’m at my class. See you later?" He turned and grabbed the gym door handle “ya definitely" Luke said smiling.

Shane walked into his gym class and was surprised with what he saw.
