Behind Closed Doors [A Shoey AU]

Chapter 7

*Shanes point of view*

Finally I'm alone with Joey. Gosh is he ever cute. His eyes going from Blue to Green and his strength and body. I can't believe he picked me up. He has the cutest little habits to like adding anya to names.

"So should we get to class then?" Joey said looking right at me. I quickly put my head down.

"Um ya lets go the room number is 201 its upstairs" I said still facing the ground. God why can't I just get over this shyness. I forced myself to look up at him. He was staring at me like he was waiting for me to move so I quickly grabbed my backpack and headed out the door. He grabbed his and followed.

"So what are we learning in Science?" Joey said glancing over at me.

"Oh um I think something to do with protons and neutrons. I have no idea." I scratched the back of my head.

*Joeys point of view*

I looked over at him while he was scratching his head. His shirt sleeve had fallen down to his elbow. There were even more cuts than I had seen before and there were many scars to. How long has he been doing this? Does Lisa know? Should I ask him about it? So many questions ran through my head but I stayed silent. I didn't wanna intrude.

"How long have you and Luke been friends than?" I asked trying to start a conversation.

"Well actually we really only just started talking today."

"Oh well then you know about that same as I do about him."

"Well I know he's been in Jail 4 times. That kids a badass" Shane said Jokingly.

I laughed. I like his humor. I wish he used it more often. I just know that if he pushed out of his shyness some more he would have so many friends. Just then the thoughts came to me. Why does Shane have such bad anxiety? Why does he hurt himself like that?

"So Shane you excited for the movie?" I knew he'd be with Lisa the whole time but I was still excited to get to be with him this weekend. This crush is growing and very fast to. I just met him.

"Extremly, I'm excited to spend some time with you." He stopped for a second before adding "Lisa, Luke and Ingrid."

I looked over at him. Did he just say he was excited to spend time with me? Maybe he is interested in me. I just wish it was in they way I wanted him to be interested in me.

"Me to. You guys have invited me into your group of friendship and I really appreciate it"

"Don't worry about it. It was more Luke anyways. He just really likes to be everyones friend"

*Shanes point of view*

Just as I had finished my sentence a tiny girl with Black hair and bangs walked out of the bathroom.

"Oh my gosh, MEGHAN-SAN!" Joey screamed. He apparently knew her. She in our science class but I've never talked to her because shes really quiet and sit in the back of the room alone.

"JOEY" She screamed as her and Joey ran into each other and hugged. He then pushed her back but left his hands on her shoulders and gave her a confused look.

"Since when did you go to this school. I thought you moved to Canada?" Joey questioned her. I just watched them without saying anything.

"Well I did but after a year my mom decided she wanted to move here because she hated the cold. We've been here about 2 years now"

"I'm glad then. I missed you so much" Joey hugged her again.

I coughed trying to get there attention.

Joey looked over at me. "Oh Shane this is Meghan and Meghan this is Shane."

"I know Shane we have this period together. Speaking of class why are you to not in it?"

I thought for a minute should I tell her the truth. I don't really know her.

"Its a long story" I said trying to avoid her from questioning it.

"Oh well okay, so what class do you have Joey?"

"Apparently the same one as you, if you're in the class with Shane." She said with a cute little smile.

"Shall we go now, the stairs are right here" I said. I  was kinda jealous of Megan. Joey seems to really like her. Maybe they dated before she moved away.

*Authors point of view*

Shane, Megan and Joey headed up the stairs. Joey and Meghan talked the rest of the way while Shane stayed quite. He didn't want to intrude there catching up.

They walked into the class and Meghan went right to her seat in the back but the teacher stopped Joey and Shane.

"Where have you two been? Class started about 15 minutes ago." She yelled in front of the whole class.

"We were in the nurses office" Shane said looking at the floor. Getting yelled at was something he was used to be he hated it. It always made him upset.

"What happened"

Before Shane could even talk Joey started.

"I had a really bad bloody nose because I walked into a door, Whoops clumsy me" Joey said as he let out a little laugh. Shane went along with it to.

*Shane point of view*

I can't believe he just did that for me. He must have known how uncomfortable I was and how I didn't want to tell anyone about that.

We scanned the classroom. Ingrid and Luke were on the left cuddling in the back of the class. Apparently we were watching a movie. I really hate these stupid educational movies. The actors are terrible and they are so boring. Instead of sitting beside the cuddle buddies we went and Joined Meghan.
