New Girl

Chapter 2

Hailey dragged me to class just in time and again I was the last person there.This time, though no one looked up or said a word.

I quietly made my way to the back and sat down. I was exhausted. Parents don't understand but school takes a lot out of you. It's like work but in this job you don't get paid.

The biology teacher came in and I already knew I was screwed.

Mrs. Penny was dressed like a Kindergarten teacher and she seemed like one too. I was so blind to details but her room was highly decorated and I saw nothing on those walls about biology or the AP exam.

"Hello class, begin reading the chapter we left off on yesterday! "in a very high annoying voice. I groaned. I was going to fail.  

People started to pull out their book and  turn the pages. Of course, I didn't know what page we were on and not like I was going to ask. I sneaked a peak to my left but the dude was covering the page number. There was no one on my right so I just sat there and looked busy. 

Finally, she made it to my name on the roster Ally Sane. I raised my hand and I saw her face. She was going to say something.

"Oh my, you are our new student. Freshmen to! Amazing! Please come up here and introduce yourself." I squirmed in my seat, this is exactly what I did into want to happen.

I mean who wants to talk about themselves in front of a whole class. I sighed and made my way up to the front of the class. Everyone was, of course, looking at me and I took a huge breath.

"Hi,I am Ally.Um..I moved from Georgia to Kentucky about a few days ago..I am  freashmeat...I mean freshmen like Mrs.Penny mentioned.....and I really like this school." I said lamely.

I looked at Mrs. Penny signaling  that I am done and it took her a moment to realise. "Well Ally it is amazing you are pushing yourself this hard and I  am so glad you are going to be in my class. Go seat by Samuel over there so you can catch up."

Samuel raised his hand and I made my way to the empty seat. "Hi," I said. "Hi, well you missed kind of a lot so I suggest you read the first 5 chapters because we are done with reviewing the elements, water, and iconic, and covalent bonds. We are on the acid groups now."

"Okay, I don't understand a word your saying but yeah I'll read." Samuel laughs and it was a nice laugh. His  faced looked younger even though he already looked perfectly fine.

"Good. Now in case you haven't notice Mrs. Penny is a bit on the .....loco side.. so your going to have to work a lot harder to pass."

I sighed. "Great, this is exactly why I didn't want this class." "Well, your going be fine. If you need help just tell me." I looked up at him. "Thanks, guess I should start reading?"

 He nodded his head and we got to work. I started from the beginning and read up until the bell.

"See you later Ally," Samuel said as he walked out. "You too," I said as I packed up my things.

I walked out of the classroom and already the hallways were packed. I was looking for Hailey, but she wasn't there. I needed to get my schedule change because I already had 2-D art but I don't know where to go.

I waited in the halls for her but then the bell rang. Great, now I was going to be late. I made my way to the art room but as I open the door the teacher snapped at me.

"Tardy office!" He didn't even look up. I was so close to saying something back but I just closed the door and tried to find my way to the tardy office.

I started to walk around the halls.It seemed like 30 minutes passed by. Hmmm...didn't I already go this way I thought. Great I am lost!

I laid my backpack down and got out the binder. Now I look so stupid.

"Where is that damn tardy office!" I said to myself out loud.  

"It's just down the hall to your right." said a voice said behind me. I turned around and my whole body froze. It was Will!!

"Do want me to take you?" All I could do was nodded my head. He laughed and led the way. "Your Ally right?"

Still all I could do was nodded my head. "Why are you going to the tardy office?"

I got over my shock and answered him but my voice was still twitchy. "I wanted to get my schedule change but I didn't know where to go so I was late and he just sent me to the office."

Will laugh. "It was Mr.Cane, right? Yeah, he is like that. Well if you are getting your schedule change might as well take you there instead of the tardy office."

"Really!" I said a bit too squeaky. "I mean thank you but aren't you suppose to be in class?" "Naw. I am aid so all  I do is just hang around.You should be one too.It's easy. You just hang around the school."

I so badly wanted to  be with him but I couldn't. "Can't, have to take the 3-D design to get my art over with."

"Well then maybe next semester. Here is the scheduled room." He said as we stopped at the doorway. My heart was pounding really fast.

"Thank you." Will just lean on the doorway and he looked so cute! "No problem. See you later!" he said as he walked away.

I waved goodbye ,and I knew I must have looked so stupid but I didn't care. One way or another I am going to get him.
