P.2 Chapter 28

I got into Hanna convertible which happen to be pink. “Where exactly did you get this. The Barbie catalog?” I asked laughing at my own joke,

Hanna laughed and started to pull out. “Very funny but no. You can do a lot with a rich dad who has a few friends in car companies.”

“Speaking of your dad is he..a you..know. Unwanted?” Hanna shook her head and pulled into the road. “He is mundane. So it is kind of surprising that I am because hybrids are very rare to have power.” Hanna said not looking at me but focusing on the road.

“Interesting..” I said looking out the window. Greece was just beautiful, I wished I had more time to visit sites.

“So where to?” Hanna asked like a taxi driver. I laughed. “Airport, someone must have seen something.” Hanna nodded and made a turn.

“You know where your going right?” I asked just realizing it now. “Yup ,mom took me to Greece for a meeting. It was before I switched sides.”

I looked at her. “And why exactly did you do that. Would your mom find out?” Hanna snorted.

“She was to buys being the perfect daughter to Alaster.  Alaster favored your mom Ally, so it hurt him when he couldn’t  find you. So my mom was there comforting him.”

Hanna took a right  and we were now stuck in traffic. ”Great!” Hanna said hitting the dashboard.

I didn’t want to stay in silent so I kp tteh conversion going. “So you met Alaster right.”

Hanna turned to me and she laughed. “Yeah..he is so….” “Creepy?” I said finishing  her thought. We both starting laughing but then we realize we were and stopped.

“But yeah creepy defiantly describes him. I was 12 and when I first met him and I ran as far away from.” I laughed. “I wished I would have done that but you know he might burn me up.”

Hanna laughed but it died out and remained in silent the rest of the day.  I looked out the window and it seemed we were in a market place. Kids ran by and something caught my eye. I jumped out of the car and began chasing them in moving traffic. Hanna told me to get back in but I stayed focus on catching the kids.

Cars were honking but I followed them to an  ally way telling them to stop when one little girl heard me. She stopped and she was the one I wanted to talk to.

“Hi.can I ask you where you got that bracelet?” I said sweetly. The girl touched the bracelet. It was a bit big but she kept it close to her. “I found it..the fire girl dropped it.”

The bracelet the girl was holding was Natalie. I know because I gave it to her. “Do you know where the fire girl is?”

The girl thought for a moment. “I think she went into the car with the two other guys..” I felt a tiny bit of hope.

“Do you know where they went?” the little girl shook her head. “I think I do.” And I turned around and saw Hanna who looked very tired. I laughed and turned back to the girl.

“Thank you, you can keep  that bracelet.” The girl smiled, and hugged me and ran off. I went to Hanna who was lying down panting. “Come on, get up.” I helped her up and she limped to where the car was parked.

“Out of shape much?” is said laughing. “Shut up!” Hanna said tired. “So where exactly are we going?” I asked. “Alaster’s  base in Greece or as I like to call it the Lion’s den.”
