Imagine this:
You wake up to silence, but it feels like someone is watching you. You are lying on a what feels like a uncomfortable but welcoming sofa draped in woolen throws and blankets. Your eyelids are to heavy to open so u rely on your other senses. Damp air and dust fills your nostrils and there is a peculiar taste of metal in your mouth. You can here nothing but an odd door opening and closing, the odd clutter, an odd couple of footsteps. You turn your head and slowly open ur heavy lids too a sight of organised chaos. Nik-naks and trinkets covered every surface. None of which seemed to be particular nice looking or even worth anything. cushions were scattered over the many large armchairs and sofas. pictures of beastly creatures hang from all the walls and there were shelves and shelves of books that just seemed to collect dust, some that were falling apart at the binding, the pages ripped, yellow and torn. There was a roaring fire. Looking at it directly hurts your eyes, but it's scent and warmth welcomes you into what feels like a warm and loving embrace. You turn ur head and you see wrotten and mouldy net curtains. they let light peek through and throw odd patterns against the dusty surfaces!
That's what Felicity felt, saw, smelt, heard, and tasted in just 30 seconds.
She did not recognise where she was, nothing caught her eye. She led on her back and looked at the ceiling.
She heard footsteps and a withered old lady turn the corner. She recognised her as Ms kendrall. Well of who she thought was Ms Kendrall.
