I finally found a cabin that wasn't entirely filled. It had one person in it. "May I sit here?" I asked, a bit shy.
"Sure! I'm Ida," the girl replied. I realized that she was the girl that smiled at me when she was walking into Ollivander's.
"Rissy," I say back. "I'm nervous. I hope I don't get into Slytherin!"
"Me either. Let's be friends. I hope we get into the same house!" Ida said.
"Yeah! I'm not sure what house I'll get into. But as long as it isn't Slytherin, then I'm okay." I said. "I like your cat? What's her name? And how is she purple? Wait, are you from America too?" I asked her. She didn't have a British accent.
"Her name is Blueberry. It's a spell my parents taught me. I'm a pureblood. I'll teach it to you later. Yeah, my father got deployed here. Did yours too?"
"Yep! That's how I got my letter." I responded.
We talked on and on, and before I knew it, we were at Hogwarts!
"First years follow me to the boats!" I heard Hagrid call. I thought the boats were only in the books! I'm actually going to row a boat to Hogwarts!
I got onto a boat with Ida. We rowed and rowed with two other people, who go by the names of Calathium and Eremurus. They liked our "American accents" and we liked their British accents. They said they didn't want to be in Slytherin either.
We eventually got too distracted, and I fell off the boat! I came up from underwater laughing. That's a memory to save!
