"MOM I'M GOING TO HOGWARTS!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
            "What?" She replied.
" Read it!" I pointed to the letter.
"AAAHHH MY BABY IS GOING TO HOGWARTS!" My mom replied. As you can see she is a big Potterhead.
It all seems fake. I'm a witch! I shushed my mom because we can't let the muggles know about it. I heard the front door open. In the doorway stood a tall, wide figure with an umbrella in one hand.
"Hagrid!" I yelled excitedly, wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug.
"Yer a wizard, Rissy!" He exclaimed, chuckling. "Let's get to Diagon Alley!"
After a walk to Diagon Alley, we headed directly to Gringotts, the wizarding world's bank. It was just as I imagined it! We walked on in and told the goblin my name. He looked on his list and took us to the tracks that lead to the vaults.
"Please keep your arms and legs... And umbrellas inside the cart at all times!" The goblin announced.
"Anyone got an extra cauldron? I always feel a bit green on this ride!" Hagrid said. I laughed a little.
ZOOM! We were on our way to the vaults. I did feel a little sick also, but who cares? I'm going to HOGWARTS!
"Here we are, vault number 623!" the goblin exclaimed. When he unlocked it, I looked inside and almost fainted. It was filled to the brim with Knuts, Galleons, and Sickles.
                "This is amazing!" I said.
After filling my bag with money I stopped at the pet shop and looked at the pets. "Hmm... Either a toad, a cat, or an owl."
Each animal was adorable, and I thought that I would get a cute, little toad. But then I spotted a beautiful white Persian kitten perched on a shelf in its cage. I knew I had to get it.
"I'll take this one, please." I said to the lady at the counter.
"Aww what a beautiful kitten. What will you name her?" she asked.
I thought about it for a bit. If this was going to be my pet that I got to bring to Hogwarts, I had to pick a good name.
Finally, I decided. "I think I'll name her Olive," I told her. I named her after both Ollivander the wandmaker and my favorite character from my favorite book Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, who was also named Olive.
"What an adorable pet!" Hagrid shrieked with excitement. "But not as adorable as my little Fang." He winked.
After getting my pet I went to Ollivander's wands. I rang the bell. Hagrid went off to get my textbooks and a new trunk.
Mr. Ollivander came out of his work space and said hello. "So glad to see you dear! Please, try this wand."
It was light brown and very plain. I hoped this wasn't mine. I waved it, and sure enough, it wasn't mine. It knocked down several of the wands on the shelf. "Uhh... Next!" Ollivander laughed, shakily.
After several tries, he pulled out a beautiful wand that was pink and had rhinestones. I waved it, and out of it sparked a beautiful white light.
"That's the one!" Ollivander exclaimed. "Pink wooden outside, with unicorn hair for a core."
Unicorn hair? This is awesome! "Thanks, Mr. Ollivander!"
"No problem! Have a good first year!" he replied, with a giddy tone to his voice.
As I walked out, a girl with long brown hair and blue glasses smiled at me. I smiled back. Maybe I'll make a new friend or two!
