It's the little things that matter in life. I always remember the train tracks we passed on our way to our grandmother house, and I remember the little buildings we drove passed when we were getting around town. I loved how the winter looked in the little town. "Isn't it pretty?" I asked, still looking at the sky. I loved the sky, I loved how it looked during all types of weather. Rain, snow, and all the others. Right now it was slowly getting warmer, the sun was out and the cloudless sky was high in the air. "Sure, there are a lot of pretty things in this world." Levi spoke up, looking up at the sky with a soft look written on his face.
"See? Now you are seeing the true beauty in this world." I poked his cheek, chuckling softly as he looked at me. "Whatever." He looked away, making me laugh even more. "Sometimes I wonder..." I trailed off, discontinuing my sentence as my eyes flicked up to the sky again. "Wonder what?" Levi inquired, looking back at me. "Wonder what I did to deserve you.." I looked at him. "You did nothing," Levi stated, letting out a short puff of breath from his lungs before continuing.
"You are the most perfect and utterly amazing person I could ever meet. And just knowing you is something that makes me like you more and more each day..." Levi spoke softly; like he always did, in such a rough but soft tone it made me melt in his words. "And tomorrow.. Will you still like me then...?" He nodded, a short and quick nod, "tomorrow." He said. I Smiled, looking away and into the sky, seeing a single lonely cloud enter the whoosh through slowly. "Tomorrow." I smiled up at the sky. Levi leaned over, whispering in my ear. "That one looks just like you...."
I smiled.
"Tomorrow.."

It hasn't been easy these days.. People started to get more and more judgemental and rude the more you get closer to the start of summer. And this is a small town, word spreads fast. I walked down the halls, the whispers rising quickly. Before I knew it....
I was tripped.
-
That was just the start. Slowly but surely rumors spread. Word spreads fast in such a small town. I was walking home from school when I first heard the rumor. Armin ran up to me, holding my arm as he breathed heavily. "Eren are you okay?" He asked, death gripping his books tightly, his blonde bob cut hair moving in the warm wind breeze. I shrugged. "Yeah, I'm good. I don't know if I'll be able to hang out with levi, I didn't see him at school today..." I said in a sad tone. "N-no. About you getting tripped and the whole rumor thing going around--" I cut him off by turning and grabbing his shoulders. "What rumor?" I asked, shaking him little. "Eren.. The school is starting to suspect you're gay...." I knew I was but I didn't know the whole school would catch on so quickly.
I felt numb, my eyes blinked slowly as I looked down at my shoes; my head hung low as I nodded, my hands falling limb to my sides. "You should get home, don't you have a big test tomorrow??" I asked, looking up at him and turning to walk away from my friend, but he sighed and grabbed my shoulder and spun me around, facing me. "You are more important to me than some test.." Armin, giving me a worried look. I shrugged, nodding as we walked side by side back to my house.

We were sitting on my roof, looking at the sun and the clouds; of course we weren't looking directly at the sun, but the pretty way the sun was setting into the vast horizon. "It sure looks pretty." Armin stated, his knees pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around them, chin resting on his knees. I nodded, agreeing silently. Armin was playing soft classical piano music from his phone as we stared at the pretty pink cotton candy clouds. "Every cloud has a story, and every story is just another adventure... " I heard a voice behind me. I sat up from my laying position, and looked behind me, seeing Levi climb up from my window and onto the roof. "Hey, Eren. Armin." He nodded at Armin and looked at me. "Ah, well if you will excuse me, I had some studying to do.." Armin said, standing up and brushing himself off, walking away after carefully climbing through my window.
"Am I not your cloud buddy anymore?" Levi asked, sounding a bit sarcastic. I smiled to myself, shrugging as I looked over him. "You are.. I just didn't know if you liked hanging out with me anymore." I mumbled, still looking into his beautiful eyes. They represented the stars, the night, and the darkness that lurked behind it. Yet I knew it was all on the inside that made him beautiful. "I always want to hang out with you, shitty brat." He punched my shoulder, making me chuckle and hold the spot he punched me, "Ow!" I pretended to be hurt, smiling to myself and chuckling. "Serves you right for thinking that." Levi said, no emotion on his face in his eyes laid a deeper story.
"If you were a cloud, what would be your story??" I asked Levi, already knowing it, but I wanted to know if there was more to it.
"Ah, well, what haven't I told you... I grew up in a city, so I was a city boy practically my whole life. But then my friend, Hanji; she moved here, and brought me with. I blew off my parents, who never really gave a crap about me anyways. They were dumb and thought they were actual loving people. I have never had a real christmas, or thanksgiving, or any of those special days until I met Hanji and Erwin. They treated me like family and then I met you.. And you make me feel human... You make me feel like a million and one things, and I could name them all off but I won't.." Levi explained. The ended made my cheeks heat up and punch his shoulder.
"What was that for?!" Levi gasped, trying not to chuckle. "For being so goddamn cute." I mumbled, looking at my feet. "Pft, yeah right you shitty brat; you're the cute one." Levi said, looking up at the clouds. "what about you?? If you were a cloud, what would be your story?" Levi asked, still had his head held high as he took in the fresh air. The breeze swaying our hair as we looked at the clouds.
"I don't have a story." I shrugged. Levi clicked his tongue with a sigh. "Oh come on, Everyone has a story.... If you say you don't have a story that just simply isn't true. Are you not human?" Levi rolled his eyes at the last part he said. "I mean- I have a story... It just isn't a good one.." I said, locking eyes with him.
"I don't mind.." Levi said with a small shrug.
"Maybe one day, I'll tell you the story........"
