Chapter 8:And then there were three

Destiny, Zachary and Casey felt like they couldn't breath, they could only hear what Ms. Ashtaker just said. Triplets, triplets, triplets, that word was all they could think about, Ariel and Andy weren't twins, they were triplets. 

Destiny blinked her eyes twice slowly, then she licked her lips and spoke in a whisper,"what do you mean triplets?" . On her right and left Zachary and Casey were speechless, their mouths hanging open, hearing Destiny speak, they closed their mouths and looked at Ms. Ashtaker, their eyes still a little widen.

Zachary unfroze and said,"can you tell us what happened to the third baby?" Ms.Ashtaker smiled and said,"Of course, I had just arrived in the hospital, and was in labor, a few hours later, I had given birth to Ariel and Andy, I thought I was done, but I wasn't, the nurse said that there was one more, a few minutes later I had given birth to my other daughter, but something went wrong with the birthing process and my daughter came out with the umbilical cord around her neck, the doctors rushed to save her, but they were to late, she had already choked to death. my husband and I were very very saddened that she had died. We had debated in weather or not to tell Ariel and Andy about their sister, but we decided not to, we didn't think that they would be able to handle it so we kept it a secret from them" Destiny showed a smile, finally she and her friends had something, Destiny and her friends stood up, she said," well, Ms.Ashtaker, thank you for your time, I think that what you've told us, will help us a lot"

Zachary and Casey were standing on the porch waiting for her, Destiny walked towards the door, but when she was there, she turned around towards Ms. Ashtaker and asked,"Ms. Ashtaker, before your baby died, did you happen to name her?".

Ms. Ashtaker looked at Destiny and said," Ana, before she died, we named her Ana", Destiny nodded her head once and said,"ok, did you happen to bury her?", Ms. Ashtaker said,"yes, we buried her in the cemetery, we also buried Andrew and Ariel a row across from her, and also in Ana's baby coffin we have her a ring that we picked out for Ariel, but we have it to Ana, because we thought that she should have something from us, to let her know that we loved her" Destiny said,"ok, thank you" and went out the door.

She, Casey and Zachary walked down the steps, with their skateboards in their hands, when they had reached the sidewalk Zach said,"ok, what so what do we do now?", Destiny smiled at her two best friends and said,"let's just say that tomorrow we'll all be doing a lot of digging" she was to busy telling Zachary and Casey her plan to notice that across the street, someone was staring at them.

If you looked at her, you would think she was Ariel, because she had the same face and hair, but unlike Ariel, she had eyes, bright green eyes, and in those eyes were anger and hatred, anger at those kids for figuring everything out, hatred at Ariel and Andy, on her neck there was a dark line, that looked like she'd been strangled, inside her head her thoughts were, sticks and stones may break my bones, but fire will burn you three, she disappeared.
