My Theory on Dragons in MLP

Hey Zabbas! So today I was (and still am) binge watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and I stumbled upon the episode "The Secret of My Excess". This episode reminded me of my theory of Dragons, which I am about to tell you.

In this episode, Spike gets a bunch of presents for his birthday and starts getting greedy. As he got greedier, he grew. And I mean he GREW. He got pretty freakin big, all because he was greedy. This got me thinking. This episode got me thinking a LOT.

So everypony says that Spike is a baby dragon, right? Even Fluttershy says that and she is an animal expert. And, how long has it been since Spike hatched? At LEAST ten years. Twilight was only in Kindergarten, so she was about 5 years old, and now she's, what, 18? That would make Spike 13. Well, about 13 because we don't know Twilight's real age. So, Spike is about 13 years old, but he's still a baby dragon? How does that make since? This is where my theory starts...

What if dragons grow on greed? Well, duh they grow on greed. It clearly showed it in Secret of my Excess, but that's not really what I meant. What I meant was, what if Spike isn't growing because he has the magic of friendship, and all other dragons grow because they DON'T have the magic of friendship? This makes sense, right? Spike was growing when he got greedy, which is the opposite of generosity, which is an element of harmony, which is part of the magic of friendship. The dragons that Spike met in the episode "Dragon Quest" are teenagers, maybe 16 years old each. These dragons were kind of a bunch of jerks. They were trying to kill baby phoenixes! Plus, these dragons were much much bigger than Spike, but only a few years older than him. They were growing because they didn't have the magic of friendship and Spike WASN'T growing because he DID have the magic of friendship.

So that confirms it, right? Dragons grow on the opposite of the friendship of magic, or dark magic if that's what you want to call it. So if Spike always has the magic of friendship, he's always going to be a baby dragon. Sad, right? I mean, he's still going to get older, but he just can't grow. But he's still always going to be a baby dragon.

That kinda sucks.

So to all the people saying we can't ship Spike with the Mane 6 because he's a baby dragon, you're technically right. But his age isn't really a baby age. Just keep that in mind ;)
