I was soon allowed to leave the hospital, as some how I did not have a concussion and was otherwise free of medical injuries. While I was there, I had an xray and my ribs had not been broken all those nights ago, but they still stung slightly, along with the cuts on my back and shoulder. I hoped so badly that they would heal so I wouldn't be in so much pain when I felt like laying down.

Jenny had come to the hospital when she heard that I was awake, and she had chastised me about not being more cautious, but I reminded her of her party obsession and she shut up awfully quickly.

Nick, Zak, and Aaron decided to stay for two more weeks to watch over me, as that was the estimated healing time, which I was very thankful for. I had two more spare rooms, so the boys stayed with me. Nick and Aaron decided to share one room and Zak is staying in the one right next to mine, so that if I needed anything he would "only be a wall away".

I couldn't ask for anything more, seeing as I was completely terrified of Wayne trying to find me again, and what he would do to me if he did. If I was injured, he would have an even easier time hurting me to a possibly fatal extent.

I was laying in my bedroom, watching some old episodes of Ghost Adventure in my free time, since I had already gotten through all my other favorite TV shows. Zak knocks on the door lightly before opening it and glancing at the TV. He's dressed in only a t-shirt and sweatpants, showing that he got home a little while ago and had gotten changed before checking up on me.

"Really, Ren?" He laughs, rolling his eyes at me before taking a seat next to me on my bed.

"What? It's incredible that you guys do this for a living, working with ghosts." I shake my head incredulously, still keeping my eyes on the screen.

"You do. You work at the ma-"

"Used to. Michael fired me yesterday. I have no job and so I wont have a house for long either. I was living basically paycheck to paycheck." I explain, looking down at my hands. "Michael barely paid me anything, but it was enough to get by, and without that I won't be able to."

"Or you can move to Vegas and not have to worry. Maybe you can join Ghost Adventures with me and the guys! You love the paranormal, and you were good and know what you're doing." He says, looping a finger under my chin to bring my face up to look at him.

"Are you serious?" My excitement made my eyes widen and my heart to skip a beat. "Oh my god, Zak, yes! How can I say no to that?" I wrap my arms around him tightly, his arms snaking around my sides, careful not to hurt me.

"You won't have to. It's official, I'll talk to the producers tonight. Welcome to the GAC. We're very happy to have you." He pulls away to smile at me, but I quickly capture his lips in mine.

I know this is probably gonna sound so stupid, but I wasn't quite ready for a relationship. I know, I know. "Then why are you kissing him, Lauren?" And the answer to that, my little butterflies, is because he just felt so... right. He felt like heaven in a purgatory setting, my own personal slice of the treasure known as soulmates, and I know-somewhere deep down- that he will always be the one. But until the day that I am ready for a real relationship, he will only be my prize to win. The reason for me to build myself back up. The final goal of the game we call life.

We pull away and I smile at him, his eyes were still closed, as if trying to savor the feeling of our lips together. I glance over at the clock and see that it's already 9. I yawn, growing tired. I pull out of Zak's hold and I fall back onto the bed, laying down on my back. The lack of contact makes Zak look over at me, his eyes opening almost unhappily. When he sees me laying down, he leans over so that he's hovering me, his face directly above mine.

He leans down to place a chaste kiss on my nose, before whispering sweetly and sincerely, "I'll take care of you."

He lays next to me, pulling me to his chest and I curl into his warmth, accepting his invitation to cuddle. The feeling of his muscular chest under his tight t-shirt and his heartbeat beating against my hand. He strokes a hand through my hair, causing a hum to slip from me. He presses a kiss to my forehead as I lay there with a man I will love for my entire life.

I woke up to the sound of a camera lens shut, signalizing that a photo was taken. That was then followed by whispering and laughing coming from the room.

I didn't want to move, as the position I was in was incredibly comfortable, but I decided that whoever was taking photos of a sleeping girl deserved to be brought to justice.

"What are you guys laughing at?" I mumble, opening my eyes and looking over to find Aaron and Nick holding up their phones so that they could take photos of me and Zak.

"You guys are so cute! Are you two dating now?" Aaron says, his tone reminding me of a child.

"No, now can we sleep in peace, please?" I ask, closing my eyes again and flipping them off as I lay my head back on Zak's shoulder.

That sends them into a whole nother round or roaring laughter, which wakes up sleeping beauty- otherwise known as Zak. I feel him tense up, his arm tightening instinctively around my hips. He curls into me and I grin, causing Nick and Aaron to "aw" like school girls.

"Get out of here, I'm trying to sleep!" He mumbles angrily, his voice gruff and sexy from the lack of use.

Nick huffs loudly, before tromping out with Aaron right behind. I throw out a quick "Close the door!" which Aaron barely cooperated.

Zak pulls his head back to look down at me.

"You are the cutest thing in the morning." He smiles, and I smile back, not used to the complements but taking them none-the-less.

"Says Mr. Sleeping Sexy?" I giggle, trying to roll away from him, but he tightens his grip.

I gasp slightly, wincing. He instantly loosens his grip, mumbling a long apology that I cut short with a quick escape.

He looks over at me, his mouth hanging open in mock shock.

I wink at him, before snagging clothes and slipping into my en-suite bathroom. I take a super quick, slightly irritating shower and slip on my clothes after drying off. I do my hair, as I planned to go out today to go for a walk in the park. It's been a long time since I went outside, since I left the hospital three days ago. I know that may not seem like a long time, but even then it was a very short moment of passing from building to car, and vice versa.

As I exit the bathroom, I find that Zak was no longer on the bed, so I could only guess he went to get dressed. I walk out into the living room, seeing Zak and Nick bustling around the kitchen, obviously trying to make some sort of breakfast.

As I quietly watched- the boys never noticed that I was there- Zak and Nick put something on the stove but soon forgot about it. As it began to burn and smoke, I raced forward- ultimately scaring the boys- and take it off the stove. I yelped as it burned the skin of my palm, and I quickly drop the pan into the sink and turn on the water.

"Ren, what so you think you're doing? Did you hurt yourself? Let me see." Zak quickly grabs my wrist and examining my palm.

It was beginning to redden and in some spots, the skin was blistering up. It stung, but I knew I would be alright as long as I put it under cold water.

I roll my eyes at him and ruffle up his hair with my other hand. He gasps and quickly tries to fix his hair, as I run my hand under the icy water from the faucet.

"Nick, how about you and Zak go sit down, I'll make breakfast."

Nick is quick to agree, dragging Zak around the island separating the kitchen and living room, and plops down onto a chair. Zak flings himself onto the couch, and I smile as I begin preparing the food. Sometimes, I truly love these boys.
