Chapter 9: Her Sorrowful Moments

Any news? Well, a friend of mine died because of cancer on 1/8/16. Yeah, it was hard on all of us. When we went to her funeral, her family broke down. I didn't cry actually, just really upset.

Ok! I'm not going to make you feel pity for me! I hate being pitied on -.- But here's this new chappy! On With The Story!

As she said those 3 words that came out of her mouth, hell corrupted. Mages were armed and swords were aimed.

Lucy's head was down, bangs covering her eyes that were filled with fear. Wendy was fazed with fear and shock. The Last Avatar? Impossible! The whole culture was wiped out years ago in the Battle of the Benders!

As soon as the weapons were armed, Natsu snapped. "Put your weapons down!" Plue growled at the armed team.

A small white cat with wings flew over to Wendy. "Wendy! Get away from her!"

Lucy's shoulders shook as Natsu, Fairy Tail, and Wendy protest. Why is it so hard? Don't they see the pain in her eyes when she walks by?

Flashbacks erupted in her mind. She rubbed her eyes with her palms to stop the pain, but the tears kept coming like a waterfall.

"Useless! You weak Avatars!"

"Fire Benders are stronger! Ha!"

A crying blonde who's known as Lucy Heartfilia lies on the hot and slowly melting ground. Fire was everywhere. Burning huts were destroyed and the nature around it.

The white snow around the village was melting, leaving the dead plants. Innocent Benders burned to ashes, while others defend for their families and friends.

A large hand grabbed Lucy's head. Little Lucy was brought up in the air.

"What is this Layla?" The small child looked up only to be faced with a masked man. Lucy struggled to release the grip from the man, but it only made him grip harder.

"Unhand her!" Villagers shouted. Water Benders ran up to the masked man, but were hold backed by his army of Fire Benders.

"What a shame Layla. You're headquarters is in ruins. You're army has weakened. You have failed!"

And Lucy was out......

"She's the Avatar! They should not be trusted!"

"She's the reason why her whole culture was wiped out!"

Lucy kept on wiping her tears but to no avail, they wouldn't stop. "S-Stop," She mumbled.

"She should be locked up!"

Natsu couldn't believe it. He's known Fairy Tail all his life, knowing that they're not like this. This isn't the Fairy Tail he grew up with!

"THAT IS ENOUGH!" He roared. The chaos grew louder, filling the air with negative sayings. The white polar bear dog stepped up, sharp teeth existing. Rain started pouring down, followed my thunder.

"Please stop." Lucy said louder. Failure once again.

"What were you thinking?!"

Wendy tried to stop the terrible scene, but ended up crying a bit. "Minna-san stop!" But no one listened to the innocent Mage.

The wind blowed harder. The rain dropped faster. Barrels full of food rolled, almost tripping the crowd. Natsu's muffler blown with the wind.

"Stop!" Lucy shouted, but failed the hundredth time. That's when everything changed drastically. Ice shot out of nowhere and it was heading directly towards Natsu.

"STOP!" Lucy stomped on the ground and created a blockage for Natsu made of rocks.

Silence filled the air......

"Please! Stop!" Lucy begged, the blockage going back to the ground. Plue quickly ran to his owner's side, shoving his head on her stomach. The blonde wrapped her arms around the animal and sobbed.

Why is life so complicated? Is it really that hard to just actually be known as a criminal? Even if she's not?

"Luce......" Natsu whispered, grateful that he was saved for the second time but also guilty for having such a unforgiving guild.

Lucy looked up and surprisingly smiled, causing people to be taken aback. "It's alright. I'll be leaving as soon as I can. You won't be bothered anymore. I've had.......fun." And she went towards the captain's room, followed by a very unhappy pet.

As soon as she was gone, Natsu turned around, hands lit on fire. "Now, lets talk about what happened." He hissed.

Lucy walked through the open door and quickly closed it. Tears just wouldn't stop. Plue made a whiny noise, snuggling his head on the blonde's hip. Lucy smiled and ruffled his head, tears still coming down like Niagara Falls.

"The worst kind of pain is when you're smiling just to stop the tears from falling."

Her mother would say. Sometimes, she would hear stories about when Avatars are upset or in any type of emotion, the elements would be the same thing. Just like when Lucy was upset, rain was crying with her.

Lucy looked around Natsu's room. Papers on desks, the hammock swinging slightly, bookshelves, a mirror, and the window that looks out to the beautiful ocean sea.

I don't even have belongings here. Lucy sweatdropped. "Looks like we're going already," She sighed. She walked towards the mirror and realized that she looks terrible. Bloodshot eyes, tangled hair, torn clothes, and a wrecked up cloak.

"You ready to go Plue?" The white animal walked up to Lucy and squatted, signaling for her get on his back. The Avatar smiled and jumped on the saddle.

Plue slowly walked up to the door. Lucy reached for the door handle, opening it, then closing it. Just like her dream.

But I can't believe @Cryptic Eyes finally updated Mermaid Tail! Yay! We've been waiting Ry-chan! *^* K then. I'll be off. See ya in the next chappy! Cya minna!
