Daniel's P.O.V.

Lana and I slept very little last night. We tried, but unfortunately, the worry kept us wide awake. Even though we only slept a few hours, we were both on high alert. There wasn't any sleep clouding our judgement, just the adrenaline rush shooting through our veins.

We left Jack in the hospital which only left us uncomfortable since he wasn't close, but we knew he would be safest there. Today was the day, I didn't know what was to happen, but I knew it wasn't any good.

We mind-linked June and Mason and discussed our security. I was on edge and kept pacing back and forth until Lana gave me a tight hug, making me relax a little.

Then, the first yells came through the mind link. 'Vampires!' I knew it was time.

Lana and I quickly made our way to the park. It was in the middle of the city and was surrounded by our pack mates' houses, so it was the perfect place for a fight. No human ever came there.

Mason and June were already there, and they looked like they wanted to rip someone's head off – most likely the head of the man in front of us. With his straight back and chin up high, I knew he wouldn't back down easily. His vampires were beside him, hissing at everybody they saw. They looked like they wanted to sink their teeth into someone, but they still didn't move an inch. They looked like wild dogs on a leash.

'Dude, if anyone would be called a dog, it would be us,' my wolf spoke sarcastically.

'You know you are insulting yourself, right,' I shot back at him, speaking like he was crazy; he probably was.

'Yeah, yeah, big alpha boy. You're up next so break a leg, or not because that would be painful, but you know what I mean,' he replied.

I chuckled and said, 'Wolfie, stay down and let the human take care of this mess.'

I knew he didn't take the situation lightly, but this fooling around made me a little more relaxed and a little more confident. I knew if we came down to business, he wouldn't be this nice. He would kick everyone's asses to hell and back if they messed with me, my mates, this pack, or anyone else who didn't deserve to be hurt.

"So, I see that you all came which means you accepted my offer," the man stated cockily, looking relaxed.

I stared at him for a few seconds before I spoke. "We will not accept your offer. I have my mates, and I will marry no one else, and June also wants to stay."

Before the man could answer, Chelsea stormed through the vampires towards me. Up until now, I hadn't even realized she was there.

"Are you kidding me," she shouted at the top of her lungs, making me cover my ears. That woman would be the death of my ears. She stopped when she saw Lana next to me. Her eyes settled on Lana, and they became murderous. "I am going to kill you, bitch," she shouted like the mad woman she was.

Before she could reach us, a pain filled howl reached our ears, making her stop in her tracks.

'Alpha, we have other wolves entering our lands, and they are starting to attack us,' a pack mate shouted through the mind link.
