I sit up with my heart racing. I grip at the fabric under me desperately. "Whoa, calm down!" Niccone shouts at me. He grabs my shoulders and looks into my eyes. I just nod my head. The same amazing smell from the other day comes at me quickly. It happens so fast and is gone so quick I can't process where it came from.

"Baron and them want you to come down for a party," Niccone says with a laugh. He is smiling still, he's seems so happy at this moment I don't really want to ruin it. He helps me up before clearing his throat.

"I'm sorry about the whole Luna thing. I was very upset and not very rational. You have your own pack to worry about!" He says before shaking his head.

"It's fine. I understand but you can't give up just because someone tells you to," I say which makes him smile.

"Thank you," he says. I follow him into the elevator.

I play with the fraying cloth on the table. This isn't who I am. I'm not scary or rude! Morgan is having so much fun with this idea that I can't even put a say in. No one is listening to me anymore, well, besides Niccone.

He's the only one who will even let me say what I want to say. I get up from the table to go outside. It seems as if millions of red eyes are watching me in the night. I stumble back in slight confusion. Who are these people! Niccone and his pack soon come out to only be stunned like me.

"Go get the others. I think we are about to be under attack," Niccone whispers. He pulls me back behind him for some reason.

"Give me my daughter you moron!" A woman shouts. I instantly recognize her as mother. "Mom?" I cry jump to her. Niccone grabs me and pulls me back.

"She isn't your mother anymore Red. She's a rouge. Remember what those things are like?"

Her eyes flash red as she lets out a loud hiss. He slowly let's me go as she takes another step to us. "Why?" Escapes before I realize what I said.

"Chris I didn't want to leav-"

"No! You took my wolf away from me and ran like a coward!" I scream at her.

"It's what was best."

"Best? I was incomplete, I may forever be that way thanks to you. People, my people are worried that because you hide my wolf, suppressed her for so long that she has lost all ability to love. They fear me!" I don't realize we are toe to toe by the time I get done. I'm breathing harshly as she stay calm. "You took my happiness."

"You don't need a mate. They only make you weak."

"Like dad? Tell your son that! Sam has worked to keep us alive because you couldn't keep your legs from spreading," I say lowly. The sting settles before the thought does. She slapped me!

"How do you know that's how I left?"

"I'm not an idiot. I can do simple math," I spit at her, "am I even dad's? Or do I belong to some rouge Alpha wanna be?"

"Does that feel good? Letting out all that anger towards me?"

"Probably about as good as you faking your death to get away from your responsibility. At least my dad has the ability to try for his forgiveness but you have lost it."

Her eyes fade the red color as she stumbles back. She falls down with a heartbroken face. I feel Niccone slowly pull me away from her. He keeps one hand on my shoulder as our packs stand behind us. "You won't get anything from here. I am the Alpha of the Lycans now," I warn. I guess her 'lover' understands because he finally decides to make an appearance. He's an average looking guy with a store owner aura around him. How unexpected to be honest.

I thought he would at least be tall. I guess everyone thought so because they have the same expression as me. "Lycans huh?" He asks, "I've never had a pack of those before."

"You never will," I hiss before I shift. Everyone but Niccone and Garrett take a step back from me. I dig my paw into the ground. The man gets back up before smiling even wider.

"Never i-"

His throat is way over to the side. His body has a late response to the sudden event. I dig my paw into his chest before growling at them. None of them move, they hardly even breath. I push his head over to my mother with a deeper growl. She lets out a loud shriek before falling to her knees.

I walk back over to Niccone and Garrett. They don't move as I do, no one does. "I guess that's your only warning," Niccone laughs. Slowly they leave but the smell from so long ago, kind of like funnel cakes, comes back. My head perks up as does my ears which are straining to hear this person. I look up as Niccone falls down.

"No!" I shout, suddenly in my human form. Garrett too falls. Everyone slowly starts to drop like flies. Niccone is still breathing though.

"Niccone?" I whisper.

"Red," he breaths out. It's ragged like it hurts him to say it. "Don't die," I cry out. His chest is bleeding profusely and I don't know why. What did I do?

"Never."

"I'm so sorry. I never helped you find her. I don't know what to do," I admit. He just smiles as he takes deep breaths.

"I did."
