Chapter Nineteen~

I look over at Gabrail, who is tapping his fingers nervously. Once he notices I'm looking at him he gives me a smile. I can tell something is up with him because that smile is a fake. We are in a diner waiting for Dianna to come, so we can then meet up with Niccone. I haven't discovered much about Dianna besides she is Niccones older sister, who wasn't born with the Alpha Gene.

The bell dings but I keep my head down and play with my food. "What are mates like for Lycans?" I ask. I've wondered this for a while actually. I know how mates effect normal werewolves but does it effect Lycans? Gabrial sighs and gets this look in his eyes. "It's amazing. There is that one person for you and once you find her there is no one else but her. She is your rock and everything you need. For you it will be worse but I got lucky with my werewolf." He says as he pulls a girl beside him and kisses her head.

"I missed you." He whispers against her head. The girl has dark brown hair and light blue-grey eyes. I smile at her as I take in her appearance. My smile slowly falls. I look between the two.

"You're mates with his sister!" I shout causing people to glance at us. Dianna just laughs and tucks hair behind her ear. "Yeah," She says shyly as a smile slowly take over her face. I take a deep breath. Niccone would flip out. Does he know this?

"Does Nico-Niccone know that?" I ask crossing my arms. "Why do you want to know? It's not your business." Dianna says. I clench my teeth together.

"Maybe because Niccone believes he won't find his mate and wants me as a replacement." I say and her face falls. "Who would do that to that baby!" Dianna shouts covering her mouth. He isn't a baby.

"Garrett, um, the Hunter." I say before I take a sip of my drink. "That little weasel. How dare he tell my baby brother he won't find his mate." Dianna says as her eyes change black.

"No, Garrett told him his mate is hiding from him." I correct her. Her face falls and she lets out a cry. "You are such a jerk!" She shouts hitting Gabrial. "You know who his mate is and and-"

"Shhh." Gabrial says rubbing her arm. I stand up and pay for my food. The two follow me as I make my way to Alpha Zales pack house. "So Nico likes you?" Dianna asks obviously trying to calm herself down.

"He's almost gotten me killed several times, he's hit me, and kissed me. I'm not sure." I say shaking my head. I hear her sigh really loudly. "Of course he has." She mutters like a little child.

"Chris Schneider!" I look over at Gabrail. "Thanks man. You made me late." I hiss as Niccone walks out.

"You could stomp him in the ground Chris." Dianna says almost sweetly. "Get in the house." I shout at Niccone.

"What? You don't tell me-"

"Go!" He jumps back and slowly walks backwards into the house. I'm surprised that, that actually worked. I push my hair from my face as I pull Gabrail with me. Dianna just follows with a shocked expression. "Don't start a fight with any of them. They are good people." I demand.

"They've almost gotten-"

"That was an order Gabrail," I hiss. He nod and smile slightly. "You're catching onto your Alpha side." He mutters happily. I then lead them inside with not much else to do.

Niccone and his parents are waiting nervously. I turn around but she's not there. I give Gabrail a harsh look. "She was beside you!" I hiss. He just shrugs his shoulders. I go back outside, where Dianna is pacing.

"Come on." I groan. She crosses her arms over her chest. "They don't want to see me. They think they do but once they find out about me and Gabrail, they will diso-"

"Why would they disown you for something you can't control and not Niccone for something he can?" I ask and she looks at me. She looks away from me. "I never told them and then there is the fact Gabrail is hiding Niccones mate-"

"How does he do that by the way?" I ask her. She looks at her feet and fidget. "I don't know. Have you gave Niccone an answer?" She asks changing the conversation.

"I haven't. Apparently I passed out and gave myself a concussion." I say making her burst out laughing. I grab her arm and pull her back inside. I hear Niccones mom sob as we walk back in the house. I step off to the side and look down at my feet. "I know she is here!" A man shouts. I hear his feet pounding against the ground and the door opens.

"Chris!" The man shouts. It's the same man from the other day, the one that was in critical condition. I look over at Gabrail as the man walks over to me. He pulls me in a hug and sighs. I hear people talking to Niccone and Alpha Zale about what is happening. "My little girl is so grown up." He whispers.

I step away from him and glare. "Who do you think you are?" I demand. "You don't speak to me that way. I don't care if you are part Alpha or not." He scolds.

"No." I say making him frown. "No what?" He asks clearly confused.

"You're dead."

"I look alive." He says. "No, you aren't my dad. My dad is dead."

"Chris, just stop. Listen to me. I had to leave or they would have found you. Your grandfather went way past your mother and my wishes by turning you into a Lycan. We worked so hard to sedate the beast in side of you." He say with a frown.

"Then where is my mom?"

"With the rogues."

"Why?" I ask taking another step back from him. His eyes never left mine. "Because she's is one of them."
