Chapter 19

Chapter 19| Aurora

We head out to and drive to the apple store. Zander already went over there before and got an application sheet, we just went for his job interview.

"I'll leave you here, I'm going to go to the bakery" I say. I kiss him "good luck" I say "good luck to you too" he says. I walk to the car and drive to the bakery

I head out the door and walk in "Hello Aurora!" The owner says "Hey Angela!" I say. We sit down at one of the tables. She has a small stack of papers with her.

"I'm so excited! It's not usual for such a beautiful young woman wanting to work in a bakery. Usually, they want to work at a hair salon or make up store." Angela says

I laugh lightly "Thank you, I just want to start off with something that I know I will enjoy doing. I love baking and interacting with customers." I say

"That's so nice to hear. Well," she says then hands me the papers "here is your work schedule, anything you need to know and the recipes for our breads. You've shown me your baking abilities and I love them. I would like you to practice these if you can, and you will start working next week. You won't be working in the kitchen just yet. I just want you to get familiar and comfortable with the place before anything" She says

I smile "Thank you so much I won't let you down" I say "I know you won't, Aurora. I have great faith in you."

"It's nice to be working with you" I say "You too sweetie, see you next week" she says "Bye Angela!" I say and walk out of the bakery. I look at my phone and see a text message from Zander.

"Finished with my interview, I'll be here when you're done"

I start driving to the apple store and see Zander standing outside. He smiles and gets in the car "I got the job" He says "Yay I'm so happy for you Zander!" I say.

"How did it go with your interview?" He asks. I look down at my lap. "I."
"Aurora?" He asks in a concerned tone "I got the job" I say with a big smile on my face "God dammit Aurora" he says and chuckles

"I'm working Every weekday in the afternoons, I close every night at 10:00 pm, but I go in at 4:00." I say

"So it's basically a part time job" Zander says. I nod "I go in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 to 9:00" He says. "That's great Zander I'm so proud of you" I say

"I'm so proud of you too" he says and kisses my cheek. I smile "come on, were do you wanna go?" I say. "I just wanna go home and spend time with my favorite girl ever" He says "Uh who's that?" I say

"Shut up Aurora" he says. I laugh "Awww" I say and grab his hand. "God damn" he says and laughs "You love me though" I say. "That's very very true" he says. I smile and grab his hand a little tighter.

"Don't get distracted!" Zander says "I'm not distracted! Let me be" I say "Not my fault I wanna live though" He says. I let go of his hand and put both hands on the wheel.

We start talking about random crap the whole way home. I get out of the car and walk into the house. Zander hugs me from behind and starts kissing my neck. I smile and start giggling "Stop it tickles"

He smiles and keeps kissing my neck. "Zander! Stooopp" I whine. I turn around and jump on top of him. He catches me and takes me upstairs to my room.

We lay down on my bed and he starts cuddling me. It feels really nice and it's these little things that keep me so happy. I start to think about all the things Zander and I have gone through.

We've gone through so much, but we've gone through it together, and I wouldn't want it any other way. "Hey Zander," I say

"Yes?" He says. I look at him and kiss him "I'm really happy I met you" I say. He smiles "What were you thinking about?" He says "How much we've gone through. I can't imagine my life before I met you. It feels like you've been with me since day 1" I say.

"Well, ever since you came here I've technically been here since day 1. Then you left me for Jonathan, but now we're together and I don't want it to change." He pauses.

"I promise I will protect you. I won't let anything bad happen to you and I will do anything I can to keep you happy." He says

"I know you're broken. I know you're still going through a hard time, but I will do anything I can to make you the happiest you can be." I say

"You make all my problems go away, Aurora. It's been a little more than a year since I've met you, and It's been the best year in my entire life, and I hope to have much more years with you" he says

"I never thought I could love someone so much until I met you. I thought I wouldn't find love and that I would just go around with any girl I saw.. But you've changed my life." He continues

"Thank you so much, Aurora"
