Chapter 18

Chapter 18| Aurora
It's been a few weeks since Josh died, Zander hasn't really been able to get better. I can't really blame him though, there are times where I can't forget my mom.

I start to make breakfast. Zander is still sleeping, considering he had a rough night. He's been looking for a job, and so have I.

I applied to help out at a bakery, and I honestly think that I may be able to work there, which is super exciting. Zander's been thinking of finding a job at the apple store.

Alex offered me a job as a waitress, but I don't think that'd really work for me since I'm realllyy clumsy. He's been very supportive also.

It makes me really happy to have people who care about me and make me feel so much better. I finish making some chocolate chip pancakes and go get ready.

I start to walk upstairs and see Zander is still sleeping. I carefully go over to him and give him a kiss on the cheek. Before I even get a chance to walk to the closet I feel a pair of hands grip my waist and pull me into the bed.

"Zander! I thought you were sleeping!" I say "You thought wrong" he says with a smirk "I will slap that smirk right off your face mister"

"Well, it was the perfect time, plus, you look adorable" He says while he hugs me tightly. I smile and kiss him. "I'm
gonna get ready, breakfast is downstairs" I say while getting up.

Zander pulls me back into bed "Cuddle with me please" he says. "I have to get ready though, plus, you have to go find a job. Come on" I say while pulling him out of bed

He groans "I'm tired and I just wanna lay here" he says. I smirk and walk over and smack his ass "what the fuck!" He yells. I start laughing "get out of bed!"

"I didn't know you were so kinky" he says. "Shut the fuck up Harrison" "You're a feisty one baby girl" he says as he grabs my waist "At least I got you out of bed" I say

"Touché" Zander says. "Go get breakfast, I'm gonna go get ready" I say. He turns me around and hugs me tightly. He kisses me and looks at me "Thank you for being here for me" he says.

"I wouldn't leave you for the world" I say as I rest my head on his chest. We pull away and he goes down to the kitchen. I go to the bathroom and take a quick shower.

I put on some leggings, a sweater and some vans. I blow dry my hair and straighten it. I do my makeup, something natural so I look presentable.

I grab my purse, my phone and my keys. I head downstairs and sit down on the couch in the living room. "Let me go shower and change then we can get going" Zander says.

I nod and put some pancakes on a plate and start to dig in. My phone starts to ring and I quickly answer it. "Hello?" I say

"Is this Aurora?" I hear a woman say "This is her" I say "Do you think you can come to the bakery at 12:00?" She says, "But, I don't work there yet" I say "Well why do you think I'm telling you to come in at 12:00?" She says

I smile "Thank you so much! I'll be there for sure!" I say. "Awesome! We'll talk about your schedule and get you your uniform. Can't wait to see you here!" She says "Thank you! Take care" I say and hang up. Wait till Zander hears!

I finish my pancakes and do the dishes. I write a note to my dad and leave it on the table, telling him where the pancakes are and where I will be. Zander comes downstairs

"Who were you talking to?" He asks "I got the job!" I say. He smiles and hugs me "That's great baby!" He says "I gotta be there at 12:00 to talk about my schedule and all that jazz, so we have 3 hours to get you a job" I say

"Sounds good, let's get going" I say. I grab my stuff and we head out the door. We see some people looking at Zander's house. We decided to sell it and have Zander move in with my dad and I.

"Hello, do you know the owner of this house?" The father of what looks like a family says "That would be me sir" Zander says. "We would like to get to look at the house, is there any good time we can come and look at it?" He says

Zander looks at me "At what time would be good?" He says "If you have time right now, we could show you right now" I say. "That'd be great!" The man says.

We walk to the house and open the door. We start to give them a tour of the house and they seem to really like the house. "We may take this house, we will talk to our agent and get back to you with it" he says "Thank you very much sir" Zander says

He smiles "Today might just be a good day" he says. I kiss him and give him a hug "I'm glad to hear you say that" I say. "I love you so much Aurora" Zander says
