I had the same nightmare while I slept, except this time is went on a little longer.
I was fighting Sans, dodging his attacks.
Then suddenly Sans raised his left hand,"Get dunked on."
He threw his hand towards me, and a bone pierced through my chest. I gasped gripping the bone. My eyes filled with tears."S-Sa-..."
But the words didn't come out. Everything went black once again.
"Sans!"
I cried out and woke with a jump. My breathing was erratic and my heartbeat raced. I then noticed it was all a dream and slowly sat up. I once again rubbed the tears from my eyes.I had had these nightmares before, but never so close to each other. Why did I keep having them?
"Frisk?"
A deep voice came from the shadows of the room. I turned my head to where it came from. Two white pupils stared back at me."S-Sans?"
Slowly, the creature emerged from the darkness and stood by my bedside. Once he was close, I was able to make out his blue coat and boney features.
"You alright kid? I was sleeping in my chair and I heard you call for me."A sigh left me. "Yeah, j-just had a nightmare..." I felt the mattress move a bit as Sans sat on the edge of the bed.
"What was your nightmare about?" He asked.
"Well, we um..." Tears stung my eyes and I tried to keep from crying. I shook my head. "We were battling a-and then you...you killed m-me..." I couldn't stop it now. I was a sobbing mess.
There was a moment of silence before I felt arms around me. I closed my eyes and gripped the back of Sans' coat, burying my face into his chest/rib cage.
"It's alright Frisk," he said softly. "It was just a nightmare." As he spoke, his voice had an unsettling tone. He was calm, but it seemed too calm.
"Sorry for waking you," I said into his shirt.
A soft chuckle left Sans, sending vibrations through his rib cage. "It's alright kiddo, I had to wake up anyways."
We sat there holding each other for a minute before Sans, hesitating at first, pulled away. "Say, wanna see something cool?"
I smile and nod. "Sure~"
Sans flipped the blankets off of me and helped me out of bed before taking his coat off and slipping it around my shoulders.
"Why did you-"
Suddenly, we were standing outside. My eyes widened as I looked around.
White.
Everything was covered in white crystalsI took a step forward.
A gasp left me as I slipped, but Sans caught me and grinned his usual grin."Careful kid, lake's slippery."
"L-Lake?!" I looked down to see that I was standing on ice.
Sans cleared snow from a spot on the ice with his foot. You could see the rushing water beneath the ice, and in it, three bright orange fish swam by.
I smiled at Sans. I felt like a child on Christmas morning. My eyes sparkled as I looked around. It was magical, the way the ice crystals danced like ballerinas on the wind, the rushing water beneath my feet, everything about it was magical.
"The sun's comin' up." Sans said, pointing at the sky. As the sun peaked over the hill, everything it touched sparkled and glimmered.
This whole moment, it was absolutely breathtaking.
Was it the scenery that made my heart race, or was it the fact that I was seeing it with Sans?
I blushed and looked over at Sans, only to find he had been looking at me. His eyes softened and he reached down and took my hand.
"Come on kiddo, you have to get ready for school," he said softly.
I nodded and looked back at the scenery before the blue light replaced the outside with Sans' room.
"I'll get breakfast, your clothes are folded on the dresser. If ya need to shower, feel free to do so," he said as I took his coat back and gave it to him. He then slipped his hands into his pockets and left the room.
I took a shower and got dressed. The stitching on my torn sleeve was was well done! I figured Papyrus must have done it. I then headed downstairs. A smile pulled at my lips when I saw Papyrus sitting on the couch.
"GOOD MORNING HUMAN! DID YOU SEE THE SNOW OUTSIDE? IT'S BEAUTIFUL IS IT NOT?"
I smiled and nodded. "Good morning Papyrus! And yes, it's very beautiful~"
Sans walked through the door with a piece of cake and a brown paper sack. "Here kiddo. Grillby also packed a lunch for ya." He handed me the sack and cake and I began to eat.
Once I finished my very unhealthy breakfast, I said goodbye to the skelebros before heading out the door. It was cold, but I enjoyed the snow.
With each step I took, I felt dread fill my heart. And when the school came into view, I felt sick.
I didn't want to go back, to face that boy, to face the teachers. I would much rather stay home, but I knew I couldn't do that, so I mustered my strength and made my way to class.
