- WARNING! VIOLENCE AND BLOOD! DO NOT READ IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THESE THINGS! -

The time in the office wasn't too bad since a friend of mine from the Underground worked as one of the office ladies.
I explained to her everything that happened, and since she knew I wouldn't lie to her, she promised me she wouldn't tell Toriel or hold it against me.

"Ever since I was hired here, that teacher has treated me rather coldy," she sighed. "I guess some humans just need more time to warm up to us."

But I felt this was just an excuse so she could convince herself that the teacher would change.
Perhaps she would.

But right now that was the last thing on my mind. All I thought about was everything I was going to tell Sans tonight and how I dissed Derek.

As I left the school grounds, I felt eyes on me, though I couldn't see anyone behind me. I decided to walk faster, and felt a wave of relief, but then suddenly I was grabbed and pulled backwards. My back was pushed against the wall of a nearby building and my arms were pinned down.

"You think it's funny, making a fool out of me in front of my classmates?"

I then realized who held me against the wall. "Derek..." I sighed.

Derek grinned. "Maybe you are the monster. A monster disguised as a human, helping them learn more about us, learn more about our weaknesses. Well, I can tell you now, I am one step ahead of the game, and have found their weakness."

His grip on my arms tightened, and I bit my lip to keep from crying out. "L-Let go of me, Derek."

"You know, my father told me I have permission to kill any monster that threatens me," he chuckled before leaning in close. His hot breath brushed against my ear as he spoke.
"Perhaps I'll just have to use you to bring one out," he whispered.

My eyes widened suddenly in horror as I realized what he was doing. I struggled to push him off. "Stop! Let me go-!"

There was a strong pain in my leg and I cried out. He stomped hard on my shin.
A disgusting laugh came from the older male as he watched me fall to the ground. Tears filled my eyes as I tried to get up but pain shot through my leg and I fell once again.

My body shook as Derek tapped his foot impatiently. "Maybe I have to make you scream to attract your monster friends." He then pulled out a knife and cut my arm.

I screamed in pain, but quickly slapped my hand over my mouth and tried to crawl away. Why is he doing this?! Tears blurred my vision as I struggled to crawl, but Derek only kicked my back, causing me to collapse. Derek then placed his shoe on my head and held my face in the dirt.

"Hey kid, if I were you, I'd step away from the girl."

A familiar voice rang out, and for a second I was relieved to know I was going to be saved, but soon fear and panic rushed through me. "Sa-" I couldn't warn him because my words were interrupted by Derek's foot pushing my head down hard.

"You want to save your little human friend?" He chuckled as he lifted his foot. "What are  you going to do?"

"Oh? Well, there's lots of things I can do..."

I lifted my head and gasped at what I saw.
Sans' pupils had disappeared, and suddenly his left eye socket was filled with a flaming cyan and yellow pupil. His left hand covered in blue flame, his usual grin twisting.

"You're gonna have a bad time, Kid."

The kid grinned and ran at Sans with his knife, ready to kill.

"Sans no!" I screamed, but it was too late. Sans raised his hand and three bone spears came up. The sky grew dark and a ominous laugh left Sans.

"Get dunked on..."

My eyes widened as I watched Sans' hand flew towards the ground and suddenly the bones pierced through the boy's body. It all happened so fast, I'm not even sure Sans knew what he had just done.

Derek's eyes widened and he coughed as blood oozed from his mouth and dripped onto the bones which had impaled him. He fell to his knees and gripped the bones before looking over at me. His head and body shook as he did so, and I almost turned away.

But something kept my eyes locked on him. It wasn't the crimson red liquid spilling from his wounds, or the way his body shook. It was the way he smiled at me. The image of his twisted grin burned itself onto my memory and a sick feeling hit my gut.

Then, finally, Derek let out one last shuddering breath, before collapsing onto his stomach.

I looked up at Sans, tears filling my eyes as I seen the flame in his hand disappear. His pupils were back to normal, and now they were on me.

Fear. Sans must be feeling fear. His hands were shaking like crazy. But there was something else in those eyes, and it wasn't Sans.

Quickly he lifted his hand and the bones disintegrated.

"C'mon k-kiddo," he said, walking over to me and lifting me up to my feet.
I whimpered as pain shot through my leg. Sans frowned and picked me up bridal style. He then began to walk briskly away from Derek's corpse.

The shortcut home felt like it took a million years.
Once we got to the house, Sans set me on the couch and left the living room for a second before coming back with a first aid kit. Papyrus must've shown him where it was since our last incident.

As Sans fixed me up by sewing my cut and wrapping my leg, we both stayed silent.
I watched Sans closely. His eyes stuck to my leg as he wrapped it.

My eyes began to tear up as I suddenly wrapped my arms around Sans.
His body became tense in my embrace.

"It's going to be okay kid," he said as he relaxed a bit, his voice dark and cold. Slowly, I nodded and pulled away.

"I should have been more careful...I knew it was a trap Sans. He used me as bait to bring you-"

"It's not your fault. I lost control...I just couldn't let him hurt you...I went too far..."

Another moment went by before Sans pulled away. He took my hands and looked up at me.

"Frisk, when they find his body...they are going to know. They will be looking for us." He said softly. I looked away from Sans and bawled up my fists.

"What should we do...?"

Sans let out a soft sigh.
"You won't like this, but..." He then shook his head.

"We are going to have to tell Toriel..."

I looked at Sans. I knew this news would break her heart and that's the last thing I wanted, but Sans was right.

Toriel could help us, and right now, we needed all the help we could get.
