"Something's not right." I commented as I looked at the formation once again. The room's odor was drenched of sweat. Cameras were shooting from all different angles. "I think it'll be better if you stand like this." The little girl named Areum did as I said. "From the top!"

"Break in 5." A cameraman notified me. I nodded. I slowly watched the dance again, paying attention to every second of it.

"Yes! We got it! Now we just need to work on our timing." I gave everyone a high five down the row.

During break, I decided to use my pass for a phone call home. Each month we only get 1 so we have to use the passes wisely.

"Hello? Wendy?" Mark, my brother, answers the phone. "How's training?"

"It's very tiring-"

"Ah~ Did ya miss me?" He asked.

"Yup."

"Great, you should come home now." My heart sunk. There was a long pause. "Wendy, it's been 3 years. It's time to come back home."

"I don't want to.. I'm going to stay." I mumbled.

"Your manager called twice asking where you were. If you were having such a great time why would you run away? You know the outcome of the Rookie Star Show right? Janice won. You got no credit for all the hard work you've put in-"

"I'm staying, I'm not going anywhere." I said sternly.

"No- you're coming home. I will call your manager tonight."

"You can't make me. I'm staying." I yelled.

"Wendy- stop being so stubborn and come home. It's not too late to start school again."

"Every month when I call back, you guys don't give me any support at all. Whether it's you, mom or dad, I always get told to come back home." I started to tear up. "Can't you at least give me a little support? You knew I wanted to be a singer ever since I was young. When will you start supporting me?"

"It's not that we don't support you in your dream, it's because you are way too young for this. You left to another continent at 11 years old without any of your family members with you. Don't you understand how we feel? We haven't seen you for 3 years. What happened to watching you grow up? How do you even look like right now?" I heard rustling in the background. "No! I can't leave her alone. Are we never going to tell her what happened? You know you don't want her there! Why shouldn't I tell her? Mom!"

"What happened? Tell me!"

"No need to worry! Have fun in Korea!" Natalie suddenly says.

"Natalie? What are you doing there?"

"What? Am I not allowed to be at your house? See ya next month! Bye!!" I can hear Mark in the background, telling Natalie not to hang up.

"Wendy! Come back!" He yells as the phone call ends.

"Hello? Hello?!" I threw the phone on the floor and broke down into tears. I ran back to the practice room. What a pathetic leader I am. I can't even hold myself together, And there's 19 other girls that I have to lead.
