Today I woke to the sound of two babies crying.
"Ugh!" I lazily got up, and I lazily walked to the nursery. As soon as I got there, Percy rushed in next to me.
"I'll get Aiden, you get Paige." He suggested. I just nodded. We each grabbed a baby and started looking if the used the bathroom in there tiny dippers. Not Paige, maybe she's hungry. Yeah that's it.
"Percy, I'll be right back."
"Where are you going?"
"To get some baby milk. Does Aiden need any?" He nodded. I ran a quickly as I could and found two bottles, one pink and one blue. Then j raced towards the fridge eager to get the milk. I was glad there was some left, just enough for two small children. I grabbed it and poured some into each bottle. Next I warmed them up a little bit. Then I finally raced back up stairs to a still crying baby girl, and a still sobbing baby boy.
"Here you go." He now had both of them in his arms. Her gave me Paige and we began feeding them. We put them back in their cradles when I heard somebody walking down the hall. In the direction of our room. Thank gods it was only Thalia.
"Could you keep it down? Some of us are actually trying to sleep." She complained.
"I'm sorry. They were just hungry, they're asleep now. Go back to bed." Percy said with a smile. Thalia smiled back and when the other way to her room. I laid in bed and I now heard heavier foot steps, it was almost like a clicking noise.
"Percy, did you hear that?"
"Yeah, what do you think it was?" He asked getting up to close the door to the nursery. I'm guessing he thought it was something that could hurt us.
"I don't know. It couldn't be a monster. The house is completely secure." I assured him.
"I don't know. The gods said only for the school year it would be safe. Schools over now." Percy pulled Riptide out and was about to uncap it. He first peeked out the closed door and aw what it was. His eyes widened and he quickly closed the door.
"What? What is it?" A worried look on both of our faces. At first Percy hesitated, but then finally said,
"A Minotaur." My eyes widened as I grabbed my dagger.
"How will we warn the others?"
"I don't know. Maybe making enough noise while we're fighting?" He suggested consciously.
"That's not a bad idea." He looked surprised that I, out of all people, thought that his idea wasn't bad.
"Really?"
"Yes! Now come on. We have to try." He left the room first. We found the Miniataur heading towards Grovers room. He had already passed us. I'm pretty sure he wanted to get rid of our protector before coming after us.
We had both walked out the door as into the hallway, When Percy yelled:
"Hey bull dude!" It startled the creature. He turned around and saw two young hero's behind him. I heard a door swing open and the Minotaur turned back around. It was Nico. His mouth dropped open and he ran back into his room. About thirty seconds later, he came back out with his sword. The bull-man screamed bloody murderer (not literally) and woke Thalia and Grover. They came out with weapons as well. Well, actually Grover didn't use his weapon tonight, he just viciously through empty soda cans at him. This just made the beast angry.
We had now made our way down stairs to the living room still fighting. I hadn't heard one little sound from he twins. Percy and I fought right next to each other for the entire battle.
'Weird. How the Hades are they sleeping through this?!' These thoughts raced through my mind. Almost ten minutes later, the beast was laying on the floor knocked out. Or so I though. We all raised our swords and daggers to wear they were touching, and shouted:
"For Olympians!!" We backed away from each other and I looked at Thalia smiling. Then I saw her eyes widen.
"Thalia? What's wrong?" Nobody seemed to notice until I said that. She looked down at her stomach and so did I. My eyes, at this point, had also widened.
"Thalia!!" Grover ran by her side just as she was about to hit the ground. The Minataur hadn't fallen. I should've realized this when he hadn't turned to dust. He had risen and stabbed Thalia through the stomach with his long horn.
"We need to get her to the hospital!" Percy shouted.
"And tell them what?! That mythology is real? That we're half-bloods? That Thalia got stabbed by a Minataur horn?" Nico shouted this like he was the one in pain.
"T-take m-m-me to the one i-in c-c-camp." Thalia stuttered in pain. We all nodded and ran outside carrying Thalia. Percy drove, Grover and Nico by Thalia's side, comforting her every minute.
Had arrived at half-blood hill not a moment too soon. With Grover and Nico's arms around Thalia, we all rushed up the hill.
"CHIRON!!" Percy shouted as loud as he possibly could. We were now in the camp with Chiron galloping towards us.
"What is it? What's wrong?" He said halfheartedly.
"A Minataur attacked and Thalia got pierced by one of it horns!" Nico shouted. This was unbearable for him. After all, he wasn't the one to shout.
"Get her to the infirmary. Quickly." Grover said. Chiron took Thalia on his back and galloped away. Then I thought of something: Paige and Aiden!
"Percy!"
"What?"
"The kids!" His eyes widened and the four of us rushed back to the car outside of camp. Percy raced the car through the roads. Almost nobody was out. We eventually got Holme and I heard absolutely nothing. Percy and I ran into the room and saw that the nursery door was still closed. I ran over and opened it fast. To my liking, the twins were still in their crattles. To my 'non-liking' it was almost 6:00 a.m. We all went to bed excruciatingly tired. The babies woke me up at about 8:00. It's frustrating having kids.
I really hope that Thalia will be okay.
